make a desk out of their kitchen counter tops nailed to some of there oak cabinets...or just buy one of there dining tables...all 100x better options than any of there desk offerings.

This helped me find a desk I was looking for that I knew was from ikea but couldnt locate. It turns out it was actually a dining table. Thanks for that.

I just remember this is a past & present setup thread... This is my setup from 2010 vs 2015... I believe the keyboard and mouse is the same... Also have an iMac 2011 between these two setup that is still sitting in my other office...

Before: 2008 15" MBP with 24" LED Cinema display... the z5500 speakers just broken few weeks ago... had them since 2006.

Moved stuff around!!!

19" BenQ Monitor FP91G+
23" Asus IPS Monitor PA238Q
15" Mid-2010 MBP
Wireless Apple Keyboard
Maccally USB Mouse
2012 Razer Black Widow Tournament Editor Mechanical Keyboard
Steelseries Sensei Limited Edition Mouse
EyeTV Plus (for watching regular TV on my mac)
Bose Headphones
Brother Laser Printer (below desk)
Epson Scanner (below desk)
Lacie D2 External HDD's
Memorex USB External CD/DVD Player
Wacom Pen for Intuos Pen Tablet
2.1 Harmon Kardon Speakers (behind the monitor)

The 15" Mid-2010 MBP is on the shelf to the right there. It's sitting on top of a Silverstone AP181 180mm fan (barely visible) that I have modded to run off of an AC adapter that is connected to a 3-fan controller that I salvaged from my previous PC case. There is another Fractal Design 140mm fan (salvaged from the same prior case) sitting on top of the MBP drawing air in. I only put the fans on when I am watching EyeTV or doing other PC extensive task like video editing since the MBP is in a semi-enclosed space. I already had its logic board replaced, so the external fans are there to keep the airflow moving and help it cool off.

I think your next purchase should be a new desk. You need more room.

:confused:Some people in this thread are funny, with the whole...

 "I updated from a pencil to a pen. Here's the same photos but with a pen in the jar. Maybe nobody noticed my photos last page, so here they are again in different order."

Someone give these folks a thumbs up!:D

I don't worry about it much, people are proud of their setups and like to take pictures of them. It's not a whole bunch different on the PC side either I just look for good ideas even if it is changing a pen for a pencil

This is my home-office/man-cave system :)

Please ignore the curtains and decor; hasn't been updated since we bought our house off an elderly couple but as it's my office, it's not a priority to decorate (so the wife says), yet!

System is:

2012 i7 quad-core Mac Mini (1TB/8GB RAM)
23" Acer monitor connected via HDMI
Apple SuperDrive

Hifi under/surrounding it is:

NAD C352 integrated amp (just to the left of the shot)
Denon TU260L Mk II FM tuner (under the monitor)
Monitor Audio RX1 speakers on RoXdon isolation blocks
Music via iTunes/Mac Mini > optical out > FiiO D3 DAC > amp
Chord speaker cables and interconnects

Mobiles:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2
iPhone 6 Plus - 16GB/Space Grey

Crucial RAM, under-desk mounted USB 3.0 hub, Logitech Performance MX and a twelve south Hi-Rise iPhone stand are all waiting for my iMac Retina to arrive on Tuesday.

Don't mind the silly dog photos, I was playing a prank on my girlfriend for buying a photo frame and being to lazy to print photos for it.
