I pass so much of that old stuff being chucked out & I don't even bother taking a look these days. It's not even worth my bother lugging them back to my room & sticking them on ebay for how little I'll get. Though I say that, I do actually have one of those blueberry ibooks on ebay atm if anybody wants one for 99p.

Yeah like you say, for 99p it's hardly worth the hassle ;)

I figured that somebody somewhere might want a spare for something, otherwise I'll just have it recycled. I'd rather somebody used it's parts for something than have it shipped to China for some small child to take it apart for the precious metals & expose themselves to dangeous chemicals/etc.

Nice setup. What mouse are you using? I'm looking for a new wireless mouse, as i can't stand the mighty mouse anymore

It's an old Microsoft wireless mouse. It's kind of getting old, so since I'm in the "new setup" mood, I ordered a white and silver Logitech to replace it.

Mike, if it weren't for this sunday, I'd say nice set up. :p

Good luck to you, sir. :D

MAMA, it looks pretty, AND nice, specs?

Thanks! Several things are still on their way in, so i'll list the specs of what things will be once all the ordered pieces arrive.

2x2.8 Octo Mac Pro
10 gigs of RAM*
500 gig system drive*
500 gig PS scratch drive
750 gig storage
750 gig storage backup (raid 1)
8800GT*
Logitech V470*
2 23" ACDs

*hopefully get the ram next week from OWC, 500 gig drive should be in from NewEgg tomorrow, Logitech should be in Monday, and the 8800GT - well, I'm just hoping I get it eventually.

Mike Teezie, I may aswell just join the club; your setup pwns. Like Brianstorm91 said, many are too messy and overdone but yours is lush.
The specs on that Pro are immense aswell ;)

thats a hell of a machine, i like it, especially the 8800gt part:p

it will definately make editing your photos faster, i like them btw

Are you okay about buying those displays? you arent nervous they may be upgraded? those in particular havent been updated ever since august 2006

That has to be one of my personal favourites, some are far too over-the-top, others are far too messy; but yours is great.
I especially like the colour scheme of the room, and I am in no way a person renowned for their artistic sense.
+1 to you, sir.

Gorgeous website, photos, & setup. :)

Geez everybody, thanks so much!

Honestly, only the Apple fanatic in me is concerned. I waited until after MWSF to buy these, just to be safe. I know I could have waited until NAB, or then WWDC, or then......and so on. I needed them now.

The really good news is, these monitors are absolutely killer - they are very accurate, they're beautiful, they match my Mac Pro, and oh yeah, they're pretty.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.......

:D

Wow, I haven't checked out a "Post your Mac Setup" thread since the original one, and I lost track of that one quite a while back! There are some impressive, elegant setups here... I'm impressed!

Anyway, my new Mac Pro just came in today -- 8x 2.8Ghz with 10GB of RAM; it's a huge improvement over my 3.5 year old G5 (which has now been demoted to running the monitors on the news set).

Enjoy!
