Wow. That is one solid setup. I want the two hard drives and PS3. :D

Thanks! Those would happen to be the newest additions to the family, which I'm most excited about! I'm currently using the Silver (FW800) hard drive for all of my media, and the Black (FW400) hard drive for Time Machine (which backs up the silver and my mbp).

Took it with my iPhone, because I didn't feel like getting out my SLR and tripod.

Really nice. I like the desk, and the way you can hide stuff like HDs under that little shelf.

This thread is awesome so I decided to post my set-up, Im 16 and have brought or contributed to buying about half this stuff myself (except the TV). Also posted in the 18 and under set up thread

My Set Up:...

Cool set up. I have a core duo macbook, silver shuffle, and seagate freeagent pro, and all were great purchases. :)

for the last couple of years or so, i had an old but reliable 2000 dual G4 power mac, 1 gig of ram, with 15" apple lcd monitor...and it got retired after 7 years of use

recently, i got a used 2005 mac mini, with a gig of ram, and it's so much faster in every way and this will hold me for quite some time since all i do it e-mail, internet, and word processing

there was a time when the power mac was used for photoshop, illustrator, and page maker, but those are programs that have not been used in our household for quite some time now

the only thing i can envision really needing in the next computer will definitely be a superdrive

My brand new Macbook PRO 15.4"

MacBook PRO 15.4" 2.2 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
1440x900 Res
2GB Memory
120GB Harddrive
8x Dual Layer SuperDrive
GeForce 8600 128MB

What you dont see:
2x External harddrives on 500GB each
5.1 Speakers and Base
30GB iPod Video White
K750i Cellphone

I got this bad boy 2 days ago and its a screamer. I love it. And its beautiful! The first picture is it's "station" when im doing stuff that needs more than 1 screen. Aperture, Photoshop, Picturealtering, retush and so on... I'm a graphical designer and a webdesigner. Note: The desk is built so that All the wires for my 5.1 sound, Fiber connection, base, 20.1" screen, external harddrives is hidden inside the desk, the modem and router is hidden behind the desk so no coords are visible.

This next picture is easily the macbook pro in its normal worksurface, on the go, without any sucky cord, just used as we all who got laptops love, wirelessly.

Enjoy ^^

20 inch? i like

EDIT: please[/QUOTE]

Yes, that's a 20. And you're joking about the [img] thing, right? It's a 700 x 467 jpg and it's 104KB in size. Is that really that big? [img] still fully downloads the image anyways, all it does is shrink it afterwards.

[quote="Caris, post: 4806424"]Dude i have seriously been looking for a picture like that for ages to see what it would look like. Is that the generic stand you get with Dell monitors or a 3rd party one?[/QUOTE]

Yeah that's the stock stand my 2005FPW came with. It's nice because it's fully adjustable. You can raise it and lower it, tilt it forwards and back, and you can also rotate it. I'm not so sure if the newer Dell monitors come with adjustable stands, though.

I would assume that he is joking, the picture should only need to be using [img] tags if it is larger than 800x600.

They do still adjust...I have the 2007wfp, which I use with my iMac. It doesn't go quite as high as the 2005 did though, so it's about an inch lower than the iMac's screen even when at its full height.

Hello, I've been a huge lurker in this thread and its ancestors, checking out the ways you guys set up your Macs. I've recently bought a 30" ACD for my MBP, and inspired by pictures posted by many of you, I've arranged what may be my optimal setup. As you can see I'm using the obligatory Fliqlo screensaver. On the cabinet behind me is Heather.

Nice setup. I think I ever got an ACD, I'd be forced to get those speakers. They go so well with the MBP/Mac Pro & ACD.
