Finally, my MacBook has arrived.

It's awesome. Screen is much brighter than my iMac, but it's obvious the quality award goes to the iMac.

Pretty sweet.
What made you decide to get a Macbook?

Are those the same Creatures you had before or did you replace them?
I remember you say something about static or maybe it was someone else.

Well I had my 6 month old Compaq that was perfectly fine, but a friend of mine wanted to buy it. So I was like "Eh, i've always wanted a Mac Desktop + Laptop so there was no better time than now." Love it so far!

The Creatures are the same ones I had, but luckily the buzzing just stopped. I think it had something to do with the sub on the top of the old hutch and it vibrating through the desk.

Oh okay. I don't blame you for selling the Compaq and completing with setup with both an apple desktop and laptop.

I'm sure you got a good deal on the Macbook. My next purchase will be one of the newer iMacs during the summer.

I love the Creatures so much. I've had them for about a year and a half now. Only time I experienced buzzing was with my old Blackberry cell phone because when it rang the buzzing began but now that's over with because my iPhone does not buzz at all. I'd imagine having the sub on the old hutch would do it.

How well does Leopard run with 512MB RAM? You could upgrade to 1.5GB for $50.

Anyway, congratulations for getting the iBook G4 you wanted. :)

It runs suprsingly fast, enough for my core programs (Safari, iTunes, iChat) and a program or two other.

Maybe one day I'll upgrade the RAM, but that fact is, me and upgrading RAM just don't go together. (If I hadn't tried to upgrade the RAM in my mini, I wouldn't have had to spend my life savings on an iBook.)

Funnily enough, I'm posting this from my old white iBook G3, because I'm getting the G4 all up to date ATM. :)

I agree with you on the screen comment, it looks so much more vivid on the macbook. Even with my macbook having a faster CPU the iMac still seems to beat it in speed, but it could just be because of my internet connection playing tricks..

However, We almost have the same set up now! My suggestion figure out a way to turn the iMac sideways (see my pictures) it makes the screen seem a LOT larger. Everyone who see my iMac now asks if I got a bigger one.

Another tiny suggestion use spaces now for safari, itunes, mail, and whatever else you do on the iMac with the larger screen, and do other stuff on the macbook, aim what have you. I really like the way that works out for me, just a harmless suggestion.

ps love the Apple Infinity poster :)

Yeah colors are alot more vivid on the MacBook, but the iMac has a much better quality screen than the lappy does.

As for my setup, I've had it sideways before and it kinda strains my neck. But I prefer having it that way so I can have a larger desk in front of me. I have just moved it back again since I'm pretty sure that I'll be using my MacBook a lot more now.

Hehe, that poster is 5 years old. Yet, that car never gets old to me.

Oh! Yay! You finally got it!

I hate you, BTW. Mine is the exact same as yours, and it's running slow as hell. We're going to trade, OK? :p

He only says so because he never used an Intel Mac (with more than 512 MB of memory) and is coming from G3 iBook...

yeh its a very old desk. my dad had it then my brother then me. its very deep i like it and built to last... but yeh i really need a black desk or a very lightly stained wooden desk like at the Apple stores to match the aluminium.

you are very mean :(… jk! :)
