Nice Setup! How does your eyeTV work out for you? I really want to get one, however am pretty confused about which bit of hardware of which services. I might just go for the same one as you, that can do pretty much everything yeah? i just wanna plug in an xbox, and which digital tv :p

The eyetv works great. I use it to watch tv all the time since the imac is in my room, and I don't really have any room for a separate tv. I do not plug an game consoles into the eyetv, but I do know that it is something that can be done with this device rather easily.

Well, I took apart 2 dells today, not completely, I took one more "apart" than the other, here you go:

from right to left is

IBM 13GB 3.5" drive, billions of ATA cables and the small cable on top connect the optical drives, some other cable and 2 ram sticks, one is "one sided", samsung dvd tray drive, and on top of it is a floppy drive

here is what i mean by one sided ram:

both sides have black:

on the other side of one of them it has nothing:

guessing you are a student, how is it bringing that mbp around campus? does it meet your needs well? or would have you prefered a macbook+imac instead if possible?

I'm a sophomore in high school, I live at two houses, if I lived at one I'd probably have a nice imac (like you) an old macbook maybe. In college I'll probably do a nice imac and macbook/macbook air combo

I'm a freshman in highschool, and i kinda need a laptop, though my family macbook has been serving me fine, just doesn't feel good lagging it around cuz it isn't really "mine". when you say imac and macbook/mba combo, do you mean imac and macbook or imac and mba? i think two laptops is too much.

New Mac user here! I literally just switched from PC to Mac 2 days ago.
I gotta say that it ranks up there as one of the top purchases ever in my adult life!

You people REALY make me want a new iMac... :D

Of course, anyone who knows me in the slightest can attest that I will suddenly get rid of it, and there will be a three-page thread where everyone tells me not to, before it's too late!

Yeah... give it a rest.

It stops being antics when you trumpet about it.

lol... I had to find a wall mount for the frame..
I'll take it off your hands! :)

Finally cleaned off my desk so I could have room for books. I decided it was a good time to take a few pictures.

Yup that's a paw print and a water drop over my prescription bottle. Even though I can't read my address from here and the bottle is right in front of me, I edited the photos.

Where's a good website to host images so I upload pics of my setup here? Or is there another way to put photos in your post besides the insert image button which requires a URL of your image.
Thanks!
