Nice setup! I adore the Titanium PowerBook G4's. One of the best looking laptops, ever.

As do I. They're truly timeless, I mean, just look at the MBA!

I think that each and every one of you should put a huge warning before your post that I'm gonna see a computer I miss owning. :(

Whats up with this sudden craze for TiBooks? Personally I'd prefer the current MBP design over it any day. Not that it looks rather ugly with that white strip on the edges, but it also has ports on the back (!) - WTF with that??

if it wasnt for those TiBooks, the MBP wouldnt be the machine that it is today (i.e. a biproduct (son if you will :p) of the TiBook)

Well, normally you would have a point.... Ports on the back are actually pretty stupid. On the other hand, side ports on a laptop clutter your vision while you're working, IMHO.

Except you don't.

</still pissed that you don't understand my trading.... :p>

I like the MBP design better, but I do think the ports on the back are a good idea. Makes cable control a lot easier.

There's a reason why probably 75%+ of laptops ever designed have at least some ports on the back - it makes cable routing/organising a helluva lot easier. One thing I absolutely HATE about my MacBook is that if I have it on the left of my setup I have a mass of cables snaking right the way around & into plain sight. Why do you think the Mac Pro has all of it's sockets at the back except for USB/FW/audio?

You're comparing a desktop to a laptop. Complete Difference. I hate all the wires on the back of my pc laptop. I'd much prefer them on the side. Not many people use their laptops in desktop mode like you guys - therefore the argument of cable clutter really doesn't apply to them. They have no cables, for the most part.

Every time a new dust particle settles on his desk, he tells us the specs in this thread and posts a picture.

He doesn't have time to update his sig that much.

I should talk... :D

To me at least, it makes far more sense to have the common sockets that you use when 'on the move' on the sides (USB, headphones) & the sockets you use in 'desk mode' on the back (monitor, parallel when it was around, dock connector (but Apple unfortunately has some vendetta against those)). And don't get me started on the spacing/layout of the side ports of the MacBook...
