Are you gay or what?

Such comments make me sick -_-
You obviusly have never heard the song before.
Oh and yes, a comment about how an emo kid looks slightly feminine dictates my sexuality. You must be a genius!
You must be joking.

If I wasn't old and straight, I'd tap it.

haha :p

To the guy I posted the comment about:

I'm sorry. I posted the comment while I was at school and slightly hopped up on Red Bull. I apologise it was rude and totally out of line, but keep in mind, you're online. If you expose yourself you have to be ready to get attaked or made fun of, thats just sadly how the World Wide Web and society work. Be prepared to get ridiculed when you post pictures with something slightly different or unique.
But again, I apologise. I hope our passion for Macs will see our differences part.

Nice, I like the monitor stand. :)

OK, so I'm bored as heck after the last day of school, so I decided to pull out my entire Mac collection and post it!

First, my notebooks.

rmvghi.jpg

On the left is my 300 MHz Clamshell iBook G3, with 160 MB of RAM, a 3 GB HDD and running Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther.

In the middle is my basically dead 12" 800 MHz IceBook (iBook ) G3, with 256 MB of RAM, a 30 GB HDD, and running Mac OS X 10.4.10 Tiger

On the right is my main machine, my 12" 1.33 GHz iBook G4, with 512 MB of RAM, a 40 GB HDD, running Mac OS X 10.5.2 Leopard

Now, onto desktops

t7bzfb.jpg

On the far left is my 233 MHz iMac G3, with 32 MB of RAM, a 4(?) GB HDD, running Mac OS 8.6

To the right of the iMac is my 1 MHz :)D) Apple IIc, with 128k of RAM, with no HDD, and running some version of ProDos.

Next to that is my dead Mac mini, which was my main machine up until March of this year. It has (had?) a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 512 MB of RAM, an 80 GB HDD, and ran Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger.

And finally, (I applaud you if you actually read this far) on the far right is my 8 MHz Macintosh Classic, with 1 MB of RAM, a 20 MB HDD, running System 6.0.7

Thanks for looking, these are my pride and joy. :)

Thanks Cassie, $20 @ Office Depot. Clams and ibooks always rock but I especially like your Classic. Sorry about your Mini, What's wrong with it?

I have that same hub for my Mini, but I've moved it onto my AEBS. This way I can have a printer and a HDD plugged into the AEBS and have it look right without some weird hub back there.

Congrats on the new Macbook.

Thank You, That's a great idea for your AEBS (I had to google the acronym )

I just need some new speakers. But I am moving in a few weeks. So I took some last pics as I am packing, for memories. All the boxes are in my closet.

But here you go. When we move, I want a new desk since my next room is huge. I am thinking about building one with my grandpa. That way I can make it how I want for the Mac Pro (Gift for my self around the end of the year). Plus I can spend some time with my grandpa and learn some good traits.

Take the time with your grandpa. You can't get it back if you don't.

Woodworking is an excellent skill to learn. Build an easy desk or bench, or even bookshelves so that you can learn what works and what doesn't before you decide what the superdesk will be. And remember, whatever you make has to be able to survive a move and fit through doorways. Don't be the guy that has to cut their desk in half to move it after it's been assembled indoors. :)

Yes. That is something I have to keep in mind. I really want to build a desk with him. Because he really loves wood working and since the divorce, even though my mom divorced my stepdad because he is a cheating bastard. Grandpa has been like a role model to me. Plus we kinda grew apart over the years since my mom divorced my stepdad. I know he is only a step grandparent. But they are more like family, then my other grandparents. Mainly because my real dad killed his self when I was 2. I grew up with my stepdad since then until I was 11 or so, also grew up for a long time thinking they where my blood family. If this makes any since..... But he lives an hour south of me. So I would have to drive down there and build it there. Then drive it back to the new house. Since his work shop is at his place. So the real test will be in the back of his Suburban going down a really long road full of construction that entire hour. But I think it will be a good way to spend some time together. We have been coming up with some designs. I know I want a corner desk.

But yea. Sorry for the short life story. My life is messed up.....

~Steven

PS: I am 17 now ;-)

No need to apologise for your ignorance, i did indeed include myself in the photo so it's to be expected.

i'd retort, however you clearly must lead a brilliant and cultured existence yourself, having to so brashly and wrongly define me to a sub culture such as emoism to feel at ease with oneself, really speaks volumes about your character.

i really hope that you arn't stuck in a small town with that depressingly small mind of yours. as thinking different is truly beautiful and what life is for.

Or you could, just say "Neat room, I like the photo", and keep your comments about the poster to yourself.

Myself, I'm wondering what kind of speakers he has, those look pretty interesting.

dude, he's British - he must have a sense of humour! [note the u in humour].

EDIT
i really hope that you arn't stuck in a small town with that depressingly small mind of yours. as thinking different is truly beautiful and what life is for.
You were doing fine until you said that

I know he is only a step grandparent. But they are more like family, then my other grandparents.

Family is about a lot more than blood. You can share tighter bonds with those not technically or even legally your family. Think about when people get married... they are not [should not be!] blood related, yet they form the basis for a family. :)

Thanks, it is indeed heritage listed

as for my speakers whoever asked?

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TP138ZM/A

Ah, they don't seem to be for sale over here in the States. I have some cheap Creative speakers but they look nice. I'm always on the lookout for the next set in case these die.

It's funny that we have to use that disclaimer when posting iPhone based pictures. As awesome as the iPhone is, that camera does suck. I tried using it at the Iron Maiden concert I went to over the weekend and got awful pictures. Yet the guy next to me with a terrible phone had perfect pictures. Very strange.

I'll see your Mac Classic and raise you a Mac Plus! It's too late to pull it out and take a photo tonight, so until I do, here's a shot of my iBook and old iMac from sometime in 2005 (note MacRumors on the iBook ;) ).

I haven't posted mine in a while - nothing much has changed except for a bit of rearranging and the desk mat. I might pick up the wireless keyboard and mouse sometime, but it's hard to justify the cost.

Does the Dell monitor's webcam and mic work well with the mbp ?

The Dell's built-in mic doesn't work as well as the built-in mic on the MBP but the camera on the Dell seems to be better than the iSight in terms of picture quality and video.
