wow that looks awesome :)

It does look nice, but it's all about composition of the shot. If it would have been taken at a different angle, from above, with a point and shoot camera, people wouldn't have said much...

The New York Times and coffee mug just add to the photo.

Start telling people to get KRK speakers and real sound cards while your at it. Maybe even an AKG 701 or 702 headphones.

If they sound good to a person, then let them be happy with it. Not everyone is playing 192KHz sound files.

Yes, it would have. I am just teasing really, but I do want to say, that the "setup" is not actually that good... but the photograph is very good.

lol how do u like ur m stand?? i lub the design i had i connect kooler and i threw dat away after i got a m stand..

I love my mstand, and the fact that it's sturdy and compliments my macbook pro & powerbook. I take it to school with me to free up desk space and also to raise the screen. Also it has the cable slot in the back which is really nice for USB & speaker cables :)
However I wasn't thrilled to pay $50 for it simply because it was "made for Apple"... That was the only drawback

i hab bose system for my car also but if u use applelossless format works great!

From what I've heard Bose for automotive purposes is not that bad, and considering is a "free" upgrade when you buy the top-of-the-line model is not that bad. Mom bought the "midrange" Mazda CX7 and aside from the $7K price difference and the leather seats there's not much the normal non-Bose speakers miss, they're actually quite nice. I wouldn't pay for a "Bose upgrade" but on some cars, like the Audi Q7, I would pay the fee to get a better sounding system, specially if they change the included Bose one for sweet sweet Bang & Olufsen.

On the Lossless thing, I could slightly tell the difference with the companions. Since I found the lower end and the overall complexity of the song is much improved when in Lossless, the Companions had a tough time with complex bass notes and maintaining the clarity, the killer for them; something even my QC2's can do. And computer speakers isn't Bose's only weakness, their headphones (except both the quiet comfort line) sound hideous, and their QC ones, if it wasn't because of their controlled bass (something new for Bose) and their AMAZING noise-canceling I wouldn't use them. Stereo speakers are even worse, totally overpriced stuff and not even OK sounding. Same goes for their aviation headset, dad had their headset and returned them right away. Dunno their PA systems, I heard one that supposedly is amazing in DC and well, not amazing I'll say. SOrry here, but I've seriously learnt from experience, Killyp and several others guide me thru and my ears could easily tell the difference.

What is the point of buying Time Capsule if you have it right beside the computer?

I got the Time Capsule before the Mac Pro, which I backup my MacBook with. I just keep it there now so I get a better a wireless reception to my iPhone and MacBook than the other wireless routers in my house.

whats the little tube with bubbles in it?
oh and nice mac... i wish i had a mac :( :apple:

Some USB light I got a couple of years back. It shines some colour from some LEDs though it.

Finally have my set up up and running. Have a MBP and thinkpad in two seperate set ups. MBP as the desktop and the thinkpad as a media/portable machine.

Sorry for bad pics. I'll see if I can take nicer ones later on. Some things in the pics: MBP, Griffin Elevator, Lacie D2 Quadra 500gb, Logitech v20s (I think), Element HDTV/LCD, Wii, Wiimotes and Nyko Charger, gamecube wavebird, steelseries S&S, logitech vx revolution, moshi palmguard for MBP, apple wireless keyboard, cables 2 go 7 port USB hub, Little Dot II tube amp, AKG 240S, Echo Indigo DJ, Thinkpad x61s, lg voyager.

Thinkpad is running foobar.
MBP is running VLC playing Pride and Prejudice BBC version. Doesn't quite look like a girls desk until you see P and P playing.

An old shot of my humble work station. Pardon the mess, it's usually tidier. Thanks for looking :)
