I just got the Samsung yesterday from a friend, but he's my roommate, and it's a great monitor. Has better colour reproduction and a faster off-to-max-brightness time than my Acer, but both are fine for gaming. Anything 5 ms is perfectly fine. I still love my Acer, because it's big, bright and cost me very little cash. Acer is fantastic for its value, but if you have a big of extra cash, by all means go for the Samsung displays. Their build quality is great and Samsung always does well with their screens. You can see it in their TVs, MP3 players, cameras, etc. Samsung = fantastic displays.

I love the new macbook, but I don't think the new LED 24' display is worth it. You should consider Dell's Ultrasharp monitors, they are in the same colour scheme and its matte.

Nice, out of interest how is the noise levels on the lacie drive? Does it have an on/off switch and does it power down when not in use?

Well, it's not whisper quiet but it's acceptable for me. It does have an on/off/auto switch and powers down when it's not in use, although mine is always on due to my power settings in OS X.
