Money. I am INCREDIBLY skint. Plus buying beer was cheaper and probably more fun than buying a stand :)

It doesn't usually sit there, that was just for the photo. I actually have it sitting on my (musical) keyboard, the rubber buttons hold it in place pretty well.
 
My desk is a window sill. The Buffalo holds all of my music. Being a raw vegan, I always have some fruit near me. And a caffè americano. I got the pretty wallpaper from this Flickr! account. And you can see brand new fences being built just recently, having been blown down by hurricane Ike. Not going to get the new MacBook until Snow Leopard comes with it, and I'll snag an iPhone at the same time.

I changed it up big time since my last photo,ditched the hp linux box,turned my dell in to a hackintosh then sold it. down to my athlon and my sawtooth. oh and the g3 sitting on the amp.

and thats my bed room setup but theres tons of crap scattered across the house/houses and shop.

I got the same speakers. I use them with my iMac. They're kinda old but they do the job quite well.

Had a set of those with my old compaq. They looked great with a beige tower and sounded good too, but black friday 3 years ago I upgraded to the VS4121 for $19.99 and they are AWESOME. Recently upgraded to the Bose companion 3 set for my primary speakers, but use the 4121s at school. I donated the beige ones to my parents desktop. They always seem to get my hand-me-downs lol

My iBook G4 hooked up to a 14-inch dell monitor. I figured out how to turn mirroring off with tiger. xD

Had to crop this bigtime for it to be under 1.14MB.

Zazz up them speakers and you'll have one mighty-clean setup.

Dig the ikea lamps. I had a set, until a drunk episode... :(

Yeah, these speakers are just here untill Christmas. I'm probably going to get the Bose Companion II speakers from apple.com. I just want something reasonably small with good sound. I know Bose is kind of known for that. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

Also, yeah I love the lights. Great especially at night.

lol i was just gonna post bose is the bad about them....but then i realized a couple post im using bose interaudios lol. i have an excuse...they were free
