It scares me to see MacPro's placed on the edges of desks. I wouldn't sleep right knowing my precious was in such a place!

Thanks :)

What exactly is right in front of your monitor? (the black square/rectangle thing)

Wacom graphics tablet.

I've had it sitting like that since I got it as well as my previous Power Mac... no problems with it, but I know what you mean!

I suspect one of two scenarios:

1: They actually work at their desk, so it's messy and not photo worthy.

2: They spent all their income on a Mac Pro - and cannot afford a desk yet.
:D

haha it'll be number one for me. Every time I want to snap a shot of the workstation it's too darn messy.

I'm amazed by the low-light performance of my 5D Mark II. F/8 at ISO1600 and 1/30 of a sec. This is a pitch black room with nothing but the LCD backlighting and the lamp behind the screen. My XSi couldn't do this.

I'll go with number one. I can't even SEE my desk at the moment, and the keyboard is perched ontop of several books. I'll tidy up for you lot tonight and then take a picture of the "family".

Amazing. Love the set up as always && great shot.
I have the XSi and I can second that it could never do that. Too bad I just got my XSi this summer && I am a beginner - shots at even 400ISO are noisy and at 100ISO in low light are still not crystal clear. I won't be upgrading for a little while, but wow the 5D Mark II has been amazing me with all its low light shots!

It's absolutely astounding what this thing can do with such little light. In the situations that I'd use 1600ISO on my XSi, I can squeeze so much more out of this camera. ISO expandable to 25,600. Crazy. I get about the same amount of noise at 6400 that I did from my XSi at 1600. I still really love the XSi and believe it's the best beginner DSLR you can buy, but this thing is in a league of its own.
