that movie for some reason scared the crap outta me when i was little. don't know why. i think it was the gluttony part that scared me.

but i ditched my brother's infinity speakers and bought myself some kef's. even thought they are smaller, they are a lot clearer. will take pictures once i get front stands. probably after my vacation.

Really? I found the gluttony one quite tame, it was sloth and lust that freaked me out the most. Though really, lust was only really scary when you heard the guy's confession, since I couldn't actually see what was on the screen (damn old VHS).

That line of HP Monitors are by far the best standalone monitors I have used. They are glossy and that is the way I like them. I wish I had the 22" version. That one has an amazing stand that lets you move it how you please as well as rotation it. I currently I have my iMac connected to it through VGA and my 360 connected to it via DVI. The presets make both look great when I use either.

Plus, it has the same silver(alu)/black theme for a long time (I had this monitor for almost two years), which matches my new iMac, as well as my alu desk, black speakers, alu lamp, black/silver keyboard, black/silver scanner and black/silver printer....

EDIT - Here is more of my desk-room;

Main strip, with the iMac in my sig, Altec Lansing speakers (2.1) with a subwoofer in the corner section behind my 360. My iPod Touch is connected on a hand made dock next to the right speaker. There is a 3rd party media card reader sitting on the base of my iMac. Connected to my extended series of USB Hubs...

The other strip of my desk. That is my HP printer and Canon scanner. I charge my cell phone right next to the printer, as you see covered there. It is just a Blackberry Curve. Under the corner is a 640gb HD used for backing up, and as a bootable drive for my Mac (I'm soon installing XP on it for experimenting). There is also a vertical wireless router directly connected to my iMac and 360. The wireless is now mostly for my cell phone and iPod Touch.

This is behind me when I sit. It is my AMD PC that I built a few years ago. It is also in the case of the first computer that I ever got. As well as the original keyboard, still working. It is connected to my TV currently showing a slideshow of my trip to Wyoming. I also have my Xbox and Nintendo 64 connected to the TV. You can see my huge Xbox collectoin (52 games, plus hundreds of demos), most games collected right before I got my 360 - when they were really cheap...

http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/2784/dsci0044ls0.jpg

And this is just the top of the TV Media Center. These are the Legos that I have collected for a while. These are most of the sets that I really wanted when I was a kid, when I found them online I got them ASAP! These are some awesome sets! All of which except for the tent on are over 10 years old!

Damn, that's some Lego collection.

Is that an XPERIA that I spy? If so, how do you like it? My iPhone pisses me off more and more each day; and that's the first phone I've seen that I think could be an upgrade.

Also, how do you like that X-trac pad? I currently have a Razer Pro Pad, which is GREAT. However, the green RUINS the look of my setup. I've considered the XXL. but it's pricey.

Really?? Most of the early impressions only have positive things to say. Why don't you like it?

And excuse my ignorance, but what's an "HD"?

As biased as this sounds, I would shy away from the XPeria mainly because it says Sony on it.

Jan 2007 home office

Here's an old picture of my home office in Jan 2007. This was across I-280 from Apple (De Anza exit, extremely convenient location), where I lived for many years. Server test gear was in the garage, office was the room over the garage.

Obviously I didn't clean up for this shot. :) There was a PowerMac G5 dual behind the desk with 3 ATI 9200 video cards and one 9600 AGP. The laptop was a iBook 1.25 GHz 12" and the iMac was the first Intel iMac (32 bit Core Duo).

That looks nice, especially the second setup. I wish my desk was clean, it hasn't been since about the third week of September.

Looking for some suggestions!

Hey guys!

Here's the deal; I bought a 24" Dell monitor to connect to my Macbook at my desk when I needed a bigger screen. Later, I purchased the 24" iMac. For a while, I had the iMac on the furthest left of my desk, with the external monitor at a semi-slant on the right of my desk. However, once I got the speakers, I had to place them on either side of my iMac (they use proprietary USB cables, and thus can't reach anywhere else). So, I was forced to push the extra display to my left, on a dresser and wicker basket, about a foot closer. Basically, the Dell is useless in it's current position (other than when playing my Xbox 360).

I'd really, *REALLY* like to have both monitors set-up in a usable fashion; as I could really use the screen real estate. Too bad, though, I'm at a loss for how to do it. Does anybody have any ideas at all?

Thanks!

EDIT: Excuse the messy desk; it's normally not nearly that bad. However, I have two exams on Thursday, a quiz on Friday, and an essay due Monday... along with class scheduling to take care of. Lots of stress, ugh!
