I love the black iMac. You should've gotten a black keyboard though too.

I really like the keys on my Blackbook so that's why I got the wireless keyboard for the iMac. I wish it came in black and those black covers look like they probably do more harm than good.

Well for $199 you can get a black wireless keyboard from Colorware, thats where you got you iMac black, isn't it?

Sorry about the jaunty angle, I wasn't holding the camera straight & had to rotate it (didn't want to crop it & chop the corners off either!).

I love the Dreamcast. I've always thought (in passing) it would be cool to whack an Apple TV or Mac Mini in a dreamcast case.

Heh so after a long long time of looking through this thread, here's my setup up at college in my apartment! =D

Alubook 2.4ghz 4GB RAM
22" Westinghouse
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Logitech MX Revolution
Audioengine A2's
Wacom Bamboo
16GB IPhone 3G

--Not Pictured Nikon D80

I really want a single big desk, but i had a different setup before with these two desks haha. I'm unsure if we're staying at the end of the year so I dont want to get all new stuff just to have to move it in a couple of months.

Holy crap.
I can't believe you actually did that. You should take it somewhere in public and start acting like your typing on it.

It's so nice they made the HD easier to change on the new MBP. That looks like a daunting process.

Compared to disassembling a 12" PB, this is a walk in the park. Its also a flipped process its harder to get to the RAM in the new models but easier in the older models and vice versa for HDD

college room. i forgot my 30d at home, so taken with my cell phone
<snip>
gonna make like a black strip to hide the wires and light strip. the light strip goes around the external monitor for backlighting

vizio tv, philips surround sound, 360, and apple tv

What sort of stand is your MBP on? It definitely isn't the everyday Elevator or mStand.

It looks scary as hell--and I never would have done it, but a number of folks on Twitter said it wasn't really that bad--so I took the leap. They werer right--the reality is that it's not "that bad". I managed to do it in 30 minutes with the iFixIt guide.

Of course, pretty much anything would be better. :)

Very happy to have 200 GB free on the MBP now. 120 isn't enough to do anything.

Changing the HD in the old Macbook Pro is not hard. Its straightforward but just requires a little finesse.

I'm thinking of switching from the glassbook back to a last gen Macbook Pro. Can't get over the glossy.

Yeah, I am selling my iMac in part because it's glossy; I used the 24" external monitor a lot more than I ever used the internal monitor. Weird reflections drove me crazy. The iMac is a nice box overall but the monitor is a key component.

I can't see myself buying one of the glossy laptops, but I guess at some point, I'll have to.

I only have one Mac at the moment along with a ton of PC's. Its a dual 2.5ghz G5(got it free actually about a year ago, weird story) and I really don't see any reason to upgrade at the moment as its plenty fast for what i do.
