Updated pics with freshly installed (in a very ghetto way) chintzy ikea desk lamps...really gives a nice feel, almost like a real studio of some sort.

Looks like just enough to me ;) They each have their own personality
Having multiple portables is fun, especially for parties when everyone brings their Macs over and you have one person left out bc they can't afford a Mac :)

I don't think I've ever been to a party where people bring their laptops along

Well it's more like a super-nerd party, but I consider a get-together with food, friends, and sometimes computers a party! haha
Usually we play Gears of War and Halo ;)

Every party I have been to in the past 2 years I have taken my laptops.

although I take my laptops everywhere where there is a over 30 min ride since my parents drive me

You guys must have some lame parties....laptops? If you put that stuff in your bag, where does all the booze go?!

Can't be inebriated, gotta have cat-like reflexes if you want to be the Dungeon Master
HAHA just kidding

Alcohol is so overrated.

The MacBook Pro is mainly a Desktop, with the ability to be taken on the road for holidays etc, and the Air is taken everywhere.

Or thats what i would guess.

Exactly...MBP is basically a desktop replacement that will remain pristine and the MBA is my work/travel computer that goes everywhere

As for parties with laptops...i think the only parties ive ever been to have involved lots of booze, hot girls, and a pocketful of rubbers instead of a messenger bag full of laptops lol

Gotta agree with that. The only laptops I see at parties are the ones running the sound system!

My roommate moved out last week, so I just moved my edit suite upstairs to his old room. There's still a little work to be done -- most notably, I need to get the proper wall mount for my third monitor, as the mount I have was missing a part. However, I think it's a really comfortable, clean and cool workspace! =)

Unfortunately, the photos don't do it much justice -- I've found that no matter how hard I try to hide wires (and how invisible they seem in person), the cable clutter always seems to "pop out" on camera. =S

I just got my own office at a stealth software startup (yeah, those still exist!) and got to put together my own workstation on a budget of $250 and parts on hand. This was the result:

I provided the MacBook (and it's mStand) and the decorative art. They provided the desk, monitor, squishy keyboard and temperamental mouse. After getting pissed off and the keyboard and mouse, I provided my own:

Why yes I am running OS X, Windows XP, Windows 7 and a Linux server all on my little MacBook. It has 6 GB of RAM in it. :D I added Das Keyboard, and a Logitech MX Revolution. They added a phone.
