My setup changes pretty much every year because I move into a new place for school. But now that I graduated, I have moved into an apartment with my g/f for hopefully a few years.

The desk is actually an L-shaped desk, but because of area constraints, I left the middle curved piece out. I was lucky, I was able to do this with out any damage to the desk and I can always add it in later when I get a bigger place.

The piano keyboard stays in that position when I'm not using it, I move it sideways when I do.

After seeing these last few people who have a second monitor connected to their iMac, it really makes me want to do the same thing. Maybe in a few months when I have a real job, then I might get a second display.

NICE dual screen setup with the imac, never seen that done before
I'm not the first. Look higher up on the page. Dinosaur Jr. has one too. It might be the new black. I should've gotten my white ds lite in the photo too. :D

My new dual screen setup! The ACD is absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad I didn't go with Dell. I don't care if the panels are identical--allegedly. :)

17" iMac Core Duo
20" Apple Cinema Display
$20 Folding Table

Great setup except for the fact that the table looks like its about to fall over... might want to buy a nice desk to protect your thousands in computer equipment ;).

I've been thinking about upgrading to a pair of sawhorses and door. Does anybody wanna share a picture? :p

i like your desk! it's cool. i like the iMacs without the isight built in, its sorta ugly. i wonder if they are ever going to update the external isight...?

But if you had gone with the Dell, you wouldn't have to put a book under your monitor to get it to raise it up an inch. :p

That makes me want to get my MBP now! but I'm going to wait for the new design. Nice set up.

I have a white desk that i got from ikea. It is not top quality but i only need it for putting my computer on, working and storing things. No one sees my room (bar my family, girlfriend and best mate).

This is what I use now. Yeah I'm usin a Compaq monitor, but that's what I got to work with for now.

IMAG0006_1.jpg

These were my two macs that I used as my primary ones a year ago.

Yes that PowerMac G3 is BLACK. I spray painted it cuz I didn't like the beige. Looked to "PC" for me. And yes it is playing San Fransisco Rush from the 64 it came with a TV tuner.

IMAG0002_1.jpg

My mac I used a few years ago. Also painted that too, but it's a very bad job. Haven't used that in a while.

IMAG0003_1.jpg

And under the desk is just spare stuff. Another paint job to the bottom mac, that was for my brother till he got a faster computer.

Compared to ya'lls, this looks like a "Redneck Mac Setup". Reprezent!!

Cool setup Bobdude! I like it, I love vintage and slightly older Mac's. How's that G4 treatin ya? Is it a dual or single proc system and what speed? My homie rocks a dual 450 g4 power mac and that thing is quite nice for being as old as it is!

It's workin out pretty nicely. Being a single 400 mhz, I'm pretty impressed by it's speed. But encoding movies to a DVD takes about 13 hours  . I'm gonna sometime upgrade the processor to +1 Ghz.

I also have a G3 All-in-One in my closet, but it's gutted (tube and memory) and currently wrapped in a garbage bag for future Mac modding (like implanting a LCD monitor and faster CPU). :D

My PM G5 desk without my Latitude D620 (when I bust that out this weekend I will get a shot with it as well).
