Well, i think an iBook G5 would tempt me, cash willing.

Me also. But the slowness of most laptops 4200rpm HD scared me away from the iBook (as well as the 12" screen). Now if you offered me a PB, I would definetly take it!!

i should be adding some myself soon when i get my iCurve and new 17" LCD in... <-- it seemed as if i was never this excited about gettin new crap when i still had a PC

Only one mac as it stands now... I'm just a university student and I've only had it for 3 months so I am definitely not bored of it yet! I'm so happy I made the switch to Apple. Unfortuneately I still have a PC kicking around but I'm sure it will eventually be replaced by a desktop mac (hopefully some sort of power macMini if Apple does actually make one)... The last picture has my whole desk, espresso maker and all... :p

I sometimes use that "Bliss" wallpaper on my Mac too. Personally, I think it looks great. I still feel guilty though .

It even look's as if he has the 'Aqua' wallpaper on his PC

Yeah sorry, just something for the picture... to see if anyone picked up on it (or even cared) I didn't think people would be too offended by it ;) Hopefully I won't be the shunned member of the forums now ... But you're right, the Bliss background is pretty cool, irregardless of the $-hitty company it's attached to.

Not yet... but that's the plan. Next month I'll start shopping for a good audio/midi interface. (Ran out of funds this month  )

Not sure who's glass desk you're admiring... but mine is a Studio RTA Jupiter Computer Cart that I found at Office Max about 2 years ago. You can find it here here for $101.00.

I was admiring yours. I just might have to get me one of those. Thanks for the links.

Daniel

i think that Office Depot sells the Studio line as well, or at least they used to... they're really nice desks... i'd go with the "L" shape if you have the room!

WOAH!!!!! You have a recliner by your desk!?!?!?!?!? And positioned PERFECTLY with your computer!?!?!?!?!?!?

OMFG that is so cool!!! - and is that a 30"!?

Jesus man, what do u do for a living!

you must have have a bit of cash for all that software and hardware

I do a little bit of everything freelance. I started doing video post-production using Commotion for a TV show on the Disney channel ("The Book of Pooh") a few years ago. I recently did some work on a stop-motion animation for another TV show using After Effects, I make DVD's using Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. I have also been doing desktop publishing with Quark for a number of years now and just started learning web design.

Oh yeah, I'm 25 years old and still live at home with Mom. That is why I can afford to spend every dime I make on my production setup. Once I get a professional video camera (soon to be released) I can officially start my production company and move away from home...

Yes, it is the 30"!

My recliner is rated for 30 hours of use at a time compared with like 5 hours for a typical office chair. When I want to watch a movie from bed all I have to do is push the 30" a little to the left since I have it mounted on the wall with a cantilever OmniMount and VESA adapter. Oh yeah, the keyboard sits on top edge of the Wacom tablet and the tablet sits on my lap. Very comfortable! I am very happy with my setup to say the least.

I'm still trying to figure out how you get anything done in that recliner.

Do you put the keyboard in your lap? With the mouse on the desk, like it's shown in these pictures?

I just edited my post above to explain about that. The Wacom tablet is big enough to fit the keyboard on the top edge with enough room for the wireless mouse to move around (the mouse glides around nice and smoothly on the surface of the tablet) :). I then put the tablet on my lap. I only run into trouble when I use the pen on the tablet since the top of the desktop needs to be top of the tablet but the keyboard is in the way. I haven't been doing much Photoshop touch-up work or supercloning in Commotion so this hasn't really been an issue.
