WOAH!!!!! You have a recliner by your desk!?!?!?!?!? And positioned PERFECTLY with your computer!?!?!?!?!?!?

hey, i have a recliner too... it is kinda makeshift though... ya know... lean your office chair back really far and prop your feet up on your seemingly useless PC then flop the laptop down on your knees and watch TV and work at the same time...

I do that too, but I meant that thats a REAL recliner!!

I used a recliner as my computer chair a few years ago. It was a cheap one, similar to this:

An overweight family member sat on it and broke it.

I use a nice leather executive chair now but I want to go back to a recliner soon.

Hi, this is my first post. Been lurking round here for a long time (probably around 2 years). Just got my new machine and couldn't resist any longer, had to share it with you guys.

So here we go:
Dual 2.5Ghz G5
GeForce 6800 Ultra
2.5GB RAM
Dual 300GB Maxtor Diamond Max 10 in RAID
Internal Bluetooth and Airport
Dual 23" Apple Cinema Displays
Harman KArdon Sound Sticks 2 (not shown, haven't had a chance to set them up)
setup.jpg

Also waiting on a Mac mini: 1.42Ghz with superdrive, bluetooth, airport, 512MB RAM and a 1GB iPod shuffle (who knows when these will arrive :p).

They were happy to see me when I went in and ordered all this stuff I tell you!

Amazing!

That is a seriously AWESOME set up, pity you don't have a chair though. :(

Is it just me or does that mouse just look totally out of place? I'm just being picky though.

Yeah i've got a chair  it's just not in the pic, although it's not particularly a great chair.

I agree with you about the mouse, it does look out of place . Trouble is, as I like to use a trakerball, there isn't exactly loads of choice to find one that goes with the computer.

Got my moms digi cam. Here it is. PBG3 is on far right behind printer. IBG4 is tray and iMac is the left. Used to have some Performa w/a 180MHZ proc(601e i think) then a POS P3 Sony, and now these three Macs.

Macs present & future

It's great to see what some people have at home with their amazing range of kit! I'm only a convert since 1999, so I reckon that I've got some catching up to do. Still, here goes -

Current kit consists of PowerMac G5/1.6 (OS X 10.3.8), 3Gb RAM wth 80Gb & 250Gb SATA drives, LaCie d2 Extreme 160Gb Firewire 800, LaCie d2 dual layer DVD-RW with LightScribe, Wacom A4 Intous pad, Nikon LS8000 film scanner and LaCie 21" Electron Blue monitor.

PowerMac G4/450 (OS X 10.3.8), 1.5Gb RAM wth DVD-RAM drive, 27Gb & 75Gb ATA drives, 2x LaCie d2 Extreme 120Gb Firewire 400 drives, LaCie 80Gb Firewire 400 drive, LaCie d2 52x CD-RW, Wacom A4 Intous pad, GigaBit ethernet card and LaCie 21" Electron Blue monitor.

PowerMac G3/400 (B&W) (OS X 10.3.8), 1Gb RAM wth 2x 40Gb & 1x 75Gb ATA drives, Sonnet dual ATA controller card, LaCie 80Gb Firewire 400 drive, LaCie 24x CD-RW, Wacom A4 Intuos pad, GigaBit ethernet card and LaCie 19" Electron Blue monitor.

PowerMac G3/300 (Beige - ugh!) (OS 9.2.2), 512Mb RAM wth 2x 40Gb ATA drives and LaCie 19" Electron Blue monitor.

PowerBook G4/867 12" (Aluminium) (OS X 10.3.8), 1.12Gb RAM wth 40Gb ATA drive, BlueTooth & Wacom Graphire3 pad.

iMac G3/600 (SE) (OS X 10.3.8), 1Gb RAM wth 40Gb ATA drive.

iPod Mini - lovely.

All linked with Cat6 ethernet running through GigaBit & 10/100 switches with linked ADSL modem/router.

Not much point in posting a picture as they all look like eveyone else's! They keep me off the streets although I'm looking to add a pair of dual G5's soon to keep me occupied!

Keep up the reports as I'm getting seriously worried about what some people sem to have as merely their "home" computers!

Yeah the desk too, I thought the same thing when I set the G5 up...it's a shame, really doesn't do it justice, but hey the computer still works no matter what desk it's on and thats what counts :p .
Thanks for the link to that trackball, might look at getting one of those.

Can't remember where I got the desktop from it was originally 1600x1200 but i cut it and made it longer to fit 1920x1200. I'll put it up but only for a little bit (don't won't to use all my bandwidth allowance, so if you want it get it quick)
