Nice. I have a dual display too. Can I get the wallpaper?

It still puzzles me as to why people buy ACDs - £400 for a 20" monitor is ludicrous when you consider that you can buy a 22" monitor, also with an LG/Phillips panel, for less than half that price. I mean I would rather have dual 22" monitors than a single 20" monitor for the same price, but maybe that's just me.

If you can afford ADCs then why not buy them?
If I could, I would.

Sup guys. This is my first Mac! Thanks to most of you on this forum. This bad boy has been great since the first day I got him. Although, the Mighty Mouse was replaced with an MX Revo. I started getting hand "cramps"...

Looks Great. iMac is gorgeous. I like your walls :)

That's pretty poor reasoning. But then who am I to stop you wasting your money?

Well, they look pretty.:)

People buy a lot of different things that cost more because they look better. Cars, clothing, furniture, etc. etc...

All that matters is if the design factor is important to you. And if someone spends the whole day working with his computer I can understand that a couple 100 bucks for a prettier thing to look at is worth it.

Other people buy Diesel shirts for 100 bucks when they could get shirts at H&M for 10 bucks. To each their own.

Yes, I suppose some people will always be willing to pay twice as much for an inferior product, simply on the grounds that it 'looks nice'.

Not exactly cutting edge (as usual). But I do have my dual 867 mdd as usual.
Along side that is my PC running Slackware at about 1.8 gHz because sometimes i still get the itch.
Sorry, no pics, but I'm sure you all know what a G4 MD and a 21" monitor look like. I'll get a G5 some day, maybe when I win the lottery or something.

I can't. I work on a white iMac g5 anywhere from 10 to 15 hours a day doing layout and I think it's pretty fugly. Oh how did we ever manage the beige boxes of the 80's and 90's? LOL

I agreed up to the point of forking over extra ching for the package it comes in.

Because you focus on the image displayed on the screen, not the bezel that surrounds it? I couldn't care less what the casing looks like, as long as the picture is nice. That's why I have & love a 20" SGI CRT on my desk.

Like I said, to each their own. If YOU don't value design in your computer environment then that's ok.

But I bet everybody who owns an ACD couldn't care less what YOU think.

Theres a hub on the keyboard

It looks like it's a bluetooth keyboard.

EDIT: or maybe not... but that cable near the keyboard doesn't look white which is odd.

About the ACDs... I've got one, and I absolutely love it. It ended up costing me about 200 dollars more then the similarly sized dell or samsung or whatever monitor but a whole lot less then an eizo or nec screen with comparable color accuracy, a S-IPS panel and an even backlight.

a wired bluetooth keyboard? how odd! haha, I thought it was BT too, but then I checked on the full-size image.

I'd have loved an ACD but couldn't afford it. I also couldn't really afford my samsung, but eh well.

I have an ACD, paid £400 for it. It's just a very high quality monitor, and super bright.
That's precisely my point - the panel is a 20" LG/Phillips yet you can get a monitor with a 22" LG/Phillips for half the price. You are paying Apple £200 for the smaller panel & with a bit of aluminium around it.

Just because it has the same brand panel doesn't mean its the same quality panel.
