My setup remixed... Nothing really new though. Except I got a PC I built....

I have been enjoying this thread,seeing everyones set-ups. Here is mine. Its in my bedroom. I have 2 "blackbooks" one is connected to a sony 23" monitor (the last model dedicated to computers that they made) Just yesterday I got the cords/adapters needed to connect that blackbook to my Sony 32" Bravia TV that is in the unit next to the computer. For now I am just going to watch movies on the hard drive connected to the Blackbook on the TV. I still prefer to pull up my nice recliner to the monitor and do my "computer" work. The cabinet below the computer section holds a My Book 500GB HD. When those doors are open I just tuck my feet into the cabinet and recline in my chair. My second "blackbook" is one mobile. I use it with my iLap on the bed or out on the balcony.

I hate cords so I have them all well hidden in behind the wallunit. Next year I am planning on replacing the windows desktop downstairs in my office with a Mac Pro. That will takeover from the windows desktop that is now a server for the 2 blackbooks. All this is serviced by the airport extreme down in the office. There is an Airport express connected to the receiver above the TV so that I can have my itunes playing in my bedroom.

my setup

This is the first post on macrumors for me. But I have been lurking around for a very long time. About a year before I got my first mac.

First Pic is when I got my first macbooks.

Second Pic is when I got my first white macbook.

And last pic is my current MBP.

I wish they would've just made it all white. I ADOOOOORE my MacBook but it would look so much better without the grey, IMO.

I would love for you to explain this to me, as I still don't see the justification for paying twice as much to get an aluminium case on the same panel.

With all due respect, there are numerous threads debating the ACD vs ???? please continue this discussion there and so this thread will continue to contain pictures... not text. It is a picture thread after all.

Extremely poor analogy. A £20,000 car will have a different engine, transmission, chassis, suspension, etc. to a £10,000 car. However a £400 ACD has exactly the same components under the aluminium than a £200 LCD has under the plastic.

Is "because it looks nice" not a valid reason?

might mouse +vx revolution and harman/kardon speakers.

photo was taken on my 8gb iphone.

Ugh nooo, I love your setup, but put the Harman Kardon sub on the floor, they aren't meant for the table.

I really don't understand the point of that comment. Is there really something BAD about products looking nice? is it that hard to understand why someone would want a nice looking product? c'mon, spare me. I'd love to hear the other side of this arguement... Person A: "Yea, I love my dell. Who cares if it's 3" thick?" Person B: "Yea!!! Stupid Apple users, hideous brown Zune ftw!"
