Well my birthdays on the 20th and Christmas is on the 25th. And I hadn't really asked for any money for a really long time for my report card. I do some pretty cool stuff on my standard. After Effects and Photoshop rock! Don't think I am some little fat boy that gets evrything from his parents. And I don't sit inside all day. I am very greatful

I remember the days of getting money for my report card... those were the days... now in college its like... son, a 3.2 just isn't going to hack it in todays competitive world of accounting. But whatever though...

Anyway... here's my "new" setup... basically the old thing just rearranged... unfortunatly same old computer... but a new iMac is coming after the next revision (hopefully a little after christmas)... and unfortunately like mr. GUnit... i had to pay for everything that you see here

My .mac homepage... feel free to look at the other pages to see my "old" setup... it has come along way in a few months.

owning the computer is not unfortunate at all, matter of fact i'm very fortunate to even be able to afford a mac (being a college student). The unfortunate thing that i was saying is that it isn't back in its old spot with a new iMac in its current spot.

Actually Platform is correct. It IS a FCP Keyboard. I wasn't sure if anyone would notice. The Avid keyboard doesn't have all the fancy colors. And its really confusing if you use the wrong one...
Thanks for clairfying; my mistake. I plan on buying the FCP keycaps one of these days. I'm not sure if I'll put them on my wired or wireless keyboard though. I wonder if FCP 5 has any different keyboard shortcuts compared to 4.5.

I'd say the Avid Xpress DV keyboard looks pretty colorful.

compare that with your FCP keyboard (pictured here with a Contour Shuttle Pro V2:

I guess it's more pastels on the FCP keyboard compared to more saturated colors on the Avid one.

October 1994 - PowerMac 7100/66 8MB RAM, 250MB HDD, CD-ROM, 15" Multi-Scan Monitor, LaserWriter Select 360, MS Office, QuarkXPress

My roommate nicknamed it the Death Star because it obliterated everyone else's computer. Gotta love edu discounts. Loved everything about it, especially the CD-ROM drive which was pretty trick at that time. HATED the keyboard!!! POS!!! I ended up selling it in early 1995 after I graduated college, thinking "What do I need with a $4000 email machine?" Big mistake :(

Switched to the Dark Side in late 1996 due to work, grew increasingly frustrated in early 2002 when I wanted to get into video work and couldn't just plug my camera in and get it to work.

April 1, 2002 - PowerBook 667, 512MB RAM, 30GB HDD, Combo Drive

Took it out of the box, powered it up, logged in and was editing video off my camera within five minutes. Never looked back and still use it as my main computer. Waiting until after WWDC to see what new comes out before thinking about upgrading to a current model.

Also assorted iPods per my sig.

Saturation is a good word. The Final cut keycaps have a larger color range because of the green, which is my favorite color. Media Composer does have green enter button for what it's worth.

I don't think logickeyboard will have different keycaps for Version 5. I don't think they've changed at all in the last few versions. But that is pure speculation. I bet if you emailed them and asked, you might get a response.

isn't it hard to sit comfortably with the tower right there? just wondering because i used to have a setup like that and it drove me nuts.
It just looks like the G5 that close in the pic. As you can see the keyboard slides out, so I sit quite a distance away from the tower. Plus I have a nice buffer of wires to tell me when my feet and/or my chair is too far in.

***MESS WARNING***

I'm stuck using a PC at my new job and it's just plain mean to me. Losing my work, locking up, and just generally being a POS. I've gotta whip it into shape!

dornoforpyros;

actually what works best is picking it up and threatening to make it airborne ;) .

Freddie, Also love the slideshow, and the boots. Are those snakeskin?
How's the performance increase, in a scale (any that is), up from the iMac G4?
