Gooood...because you have a great set-up, just no furniture to match :p

lol I really need to get a camera and take some pics of my no chair/desk set up.

I've got my g5 sitting on an end table and my monitor sitting on my dresser. The keyboard and mouse on the bed.

imac setup

i'm in the process of lowering it. the pic makes it look higher than it is but it is a little high. the wires will eventually dissapear somehow.

Thats nice you must be tall also it would look nicer if you put the cables behind the wall like they do when the put in a new phone jack

I wish Dish Network would have done that. They just ran it one along the outside of the house, starting on the giant switch on the side, and then went straight down, and around to my sisters room [dual tuner box...closest room], and the other went back up to the roof from the switch, in the gutters, all around the house, and then down to my room [another dual tuner]. He drilled a huge hole through the foundation to get to mine, and I have a giant black cable coming in...but the sideways radio station poster covers it nicely ;)

Nice setup though

Thnks for the updated photos Rod Rod. Hawking definately helped me out. Also must consider the Library thing as well when I move this summer. Is there a specific program on Mac that I can use for dimensions of shirt/sweater/pants design - was thinking of this for years.

Still in the deciding process of PowerMac G5 (dual 1.8ghz) or (iMac G5 rev B); but the honey jar is filling up consistantly with cash to get either. ;) Soon, but not soon enough. Open WiFi is helping that jar fill up. :D . Oh yeah, Rod Rod, love the Apple barstool.
You're welcome. Once I'm more settled in I'll post another update.

I don't know what exact dimensions I should have used in designing the t-shirt graphic. I just that I did it in Illustrator using a standard letter-sized page. Everything is anti-aliased so no matter how much it may need to be scaled up or down, the images will be perfectly smooth. The t-shirt printer will have to scale it to the right size if necessary. The logo I made is based on the NASA logo, but with four different letters (the acronym of the group I'm helping).

It's great to save money, and when the money saved goes into a fast computer, that fast computer helps you save time (and therefore money?)

Good piece of Hardware

how do you like your Elgato eyeTV, (is it a 200 or 500) I was interested in getting one, but they don't have any that suit my needs, I need the features of both 200+500

plus I already have a PVR, i just cannot hook it up to my PowerBook (evil montreal cable company Vidéotron disabled that feature) though it does have 2 firewire ports

I have an eyetv 410. I think it is great for digital terrestrial television but the signal reception can be a little sketchy at times. By moving the antenna by just a few centimeters, you can lose the signal. Once you find the 'sweet spot' it is great.

Recording is good as well. Allow about 2 gigs for a movie, you can then compress it to H.264 and throw it onto a cd. I use Quicktime to do this.

The good thing about my setup is I can be watching the TV on the PowerBook and surfing / working (non productively :p) on the G5. A real must have for people with 2 macs.

Dunno if this is a good picture, but here you go.

Save that photo at 500 pixels (width). You are making low res puters scroll to the right for 10 minutes just to see your iMac!

In Photoshop or P'shop Elements go to> image > image size > 72 dpi, 500px

File> Save for web (as JPG)

Republish!

Cheers mate.
