First one was this Nokia 3110 back in '97. Big and heavy as a brick with 2 Days batterylife max.

replaced it with a cheap Trium Galaxy

then I got my Siemens C35. Good phone.

siemens_c35i.jpg

since I liked the C35 I replaced it with another Siemens (SL42) which I also loved. It was one the first phones in germany with an integrated MP3 Player. I used it quite frequently, although it had only a 32 MB MMC.

Then I traded up. I got a at this time very costly Sharp GX 20. Best phone I ever had. Sounds like a rifleshot when you close it . Awesome.

followed by a Toshiba TS something, which looked good on paper but was total crap once you used it.

This is my last phone that I buy according to its specs. Sony Erricson w850i. Battery just blew so for now I'm using my GX20 again.

Next one is gonna be iPhone 4 in summer. My current contract ends in late june and that can't be a coincidence. :)

I like it. I've been wanting the iPhone, but my BB Pearl has been missing calls, and not giving me notification to the fact, so I needed something now on the Verizon network. I actually went to pick up the Palm Pre Plus for $100 total out the door from a Verizon store, but they couldn't get it to register a Palm profile. Then went to Costco and saw they had the Droid for $100, and it ended up being cheaper than the Palm Pre Plus. So far I am pretty happy, have it rooted, blocking the annoying ads in the OS and overclocked to 1Ghz. Gonna fiddle around with different Roms later. I'm going to love the free tethering at my racetrack.

I am not a phone fanatic at all. I just want it to work....and the darned BB Pearl was just slow, and the OS awfully convoluted. The current smartphones (Pre Plus, Droid, N1, iPhone), one really can't go wrong, as the hardware and OS is much nearer the capabilities of the software.

I've had a Samsung M610 for almost 3 years. Can't say it didn't do its job, I'm satisfied.

However, I'm waiting for the new iPhone this summer... can't wait!

First phone was a Kyocera KE414.
Actually an ok little phone, had it for a couple of years before I lost it :p
Didnt have a phone for a few months, then finally got a:

3g-iphone-1.jpg

iPhone 3G 16GB
Got it a week after they came out. Its sluggish as hell now, might do a reinstall of the software. Not sure if that will help though
Can't wait for that new iPhone 4 to come out. Definitely selling my current iPhone before it is announced.

does anyone know if reinstalling the software on an iPhone/iPod Touch would help with the sluggishness? my Touch is extremely f*kn slow and quite frequently there is actually a pretty decent delay with the touch screen....i still love the thing to death but it needs help.

iPhone 2G Jailbroken/Unlocked. Been giving me problems since I got it (due to low RAM all the time, mostly), but it makes phone calls, plays music, and biteSMS is the best thing I could ask for so, it gets the job done for what I do.
