My first cell phone...

I hate that phone, with a passion.

Maybe its because my finger are trouble using it

:(

Ditto some more. I have the red (cherry?) LG chocolate and I can't stand it. The touchpads are flaky, despite fiddling endlessly with sensitivity adjustments, the battery is "meh", and the call quality is awful. I can hear incoming callers just fine but they can never hear me. They can hear *everything* going on around me, but not my voice. So frustrating. Unfortunately, I used my Verizon "new every two" on this piece of crap. Unless I want to shell out full price for a different phone, I'm stuck with this one for another 18 months. :(

I just have to say one thing... if you're going to post photos of your phone, please TRY and post photos of your phone. Anybody on here can google any phone they wish and view the manufacture's images.

Heres my Blackberry 7250. Had it for a while now. Good and reliable phone. I just like Google Maps because i tend to need directions alot.

Google Maps over HTTP on a BB = ROYAL pain.

Its time to upgrade to the 8830 for Verizon/Sprint man.

Built-in GPS chip (sensitivity akin to STARSIFIII);
BB Maps built in.
Options:
* Google DEDICATED APP > if you upgrade I'll email the app to you .. it'll update maps on the fly via the data connection. (turn by Turn navigation)
* TeleNav better than Google Maps (either on iPhone or anywhere else with TURN by TURN visual & vocal navigation).
* Create favorites or MAP from Address Book location (this can be done on the Pearl as well).
* InfoSpace FINDIT! > great app for location based services.

Faster navigation, powering off is so passe when you have powersaving.

Behold, I give you... Nokia!

I've had it for maybe 3 years now.

^ YOU TOO! Time to upgrade from S60 2nd edition to 3rd edition FP1. Great phone that was the 6600 but the 6620 was much better for memory, themes and class 4 edge rather than just gprs.

Just a heads up, the Sprint version can only do that. Verizon disabled the GPS chip in it and has not announced any plans to port VZ Navigator to it.

Naw man its all good. I can stand the long load times due to the fact that i dont pay for the phone! Its one from my moms work. She works for the state of california, and they have a massive contract with verizon (like a billion gazillion minutes) so im just using a state phone right now. Besides, a phone is a phone is a phone. They all connect you to the same ol' people.

Here's my Samsung SGH-T509, only gonna have it for a couple more days, then I'm getting the iPhone. It was a pretty good phone though.

<rant>whelp... my iphone got it's first scratch today  :(

and guess what its from!?!? THE CASE

A) DONT BUY THE "SLEEK" CASE FOR IPHONE
B) I HONESTLY DONT THINK IT REALLY NEEDS A CASE
C) IF YOU DO GET A CASE INVEST IN AN EXPENSIVE ONE- AND WITH THE PC WORLD STRESS TESTS... do yourself a favor, dont waste money on a screen protector</rant>

'Funny you mention it. I bought the same Belkin Acrylic "Sleek" case you refer to and it was great at first but within a day or so of use it became loose and the iPhone started moving around in the case. I was more worried of it getting scratched in the case than in normal use so I decided to just remove the case all together. Ya know, I should have known better considering I bought an Agent 18 case for my iPod Nano (very similar case to the Belkin) and the same thing happened.

But yeah, for those potential iPhone buyers I would also say it doesn't really need a case but if you are set on getting one, I would say go for the Incase one.

Also, the screen is fine. A screen protector IMO is a waste of money.

Finally, I'm much happier now using it w/o the case considering it is MUCH sleeker and thinner - just as it was intended to be used. Further more, there really isn't much area on it that can scratch. Screen? No. Back? Maybe, not nearly as much as the iPod backs, though. The only part I can see that might scratch is the silver bezel.

Sorry for the long post!

Well i decided that you know what i'll wait in line for an iphone but i'll wait with this and make people laugh while i wait, but i didn't get one :(

what didn't you like about your iPhone?

Mostly all my friends were VZW and they couldnt text me (wouldnt purchase the extra plan). and I looked at all the features I used and i just used the SMS everyday, email some, web a little, phone some, and I have a 30gb ipod video... (not saying some of the bugs on the iphone [web/ipod crashes])

so the iphone at this time wasnt for me. :( But hey Rev Z VZW Edition I'm there! :p

Always hated Motorola, but I've been proven wrong before. Their OS is not the prettiest, but it's definitely stable and very very hackable. Loving the ability to customize this phone to the max. :)

When I had my RAZR, I loved it's hackability also. Sadly the RAZR is in cell phone heaven now.

Got it 2 days ago. :) Very, very nice phone. Only complain so far is that you can't listen to music and do anything else... You have to stay in the Music Player app.

RIZR? Nice.. I was either going for that or the LG VX8700 if they didn't have the enV. :)

Themusic player problem is on the enV, too. :(

Are you with T-Mobile? I'm not sure if the RIZR can be purchased with other providers. You can buy it unlocked but I think it can only be used with GSM.

I really like the phone though and the camera and flash are pretty good for a phone! The video feature is really nice too, coming from a RAZR. You can take "large" (352x288) video on best quality for as long as you have the memory for (over 20 minutes with the included microSD card). My RAZR stopped after 15 seconds. :D
