I posted some crappy iSight photos earlier, but I was playing with my camera and practicing some macro shots, so I figured I'd take these and post them up

I knew about that, but I have to download the files some other time because I can't really download a 100MB file over dial-up. Wish you could download files to the BlackBerry and then transfer them to your PC. That would be GREAT.

Why not use your BB as a modem; it is possible and you'd get around 180Kbps download and around 80Kbps upload (consistently anyway). Unsure if your current data plan will allow you to use your BB as tethering with no extra cost. You can use BT or USB if you like. I don't have the intructions here that'll work on a Mac but I'll see what I can find.

Thanks to you all who have tryed to help me with my flashing problems.

I have tryed PhoneXS and XS++ with no joy.

I have USB drivers but no way to install them. I also installed some .exe I found that is meant to be W800i USB drivers but it has made no difference.

I am using Windows Vista in Parallels BTW...

Also, Prom1, I now have a lot of conflicting information, as I have never heard on a customization file, and all the tutorials say you need just the main firmware file and the file system file.

EDIT: Im looking t that link now, thanks, Prom1.

I'll try to see what I find ... looking at your link you posted to that thread again. Again I'm no expert but something I am aware of.

SE releases firmwares, customization files etc to suit different markets & also for unbranded phones for differing week release dates.

ie ... My Rogers Branded K790a (a different phone I know, bear with me) was a locked phone. Its still network locked to Rogers but its now unbranded :D

This is what my phone was at time of purchase.
My thread on esato of my painful week.

PS: don't touch EROM! Unless new version XS++3.0 state so.

To note the CID is very important. If you have ie CID 49 you cannot go to a lower CID46 (just for example).

It's an extra $30 to tether, but I'd rather just get an AirCard for that price.

Nice phone. I almost got one today as well, but ended up going with an Alltel KRZR K1m3. They just got them in the price was right. I really liked the RAZR2, but I was suprised how much it has grown in size compared to the orginal RAZR. I had a RAZR v3c for 2 years and it has been good, but I wanted something different.

Really? You guys like Motorola phones? I was dumb enough to buy more than one, including the Razr, and have stayed away ever since. They're just awful.

I love it!! I rarely use my cell, I hate talking on the phone. But it does everything I need it to (Basically make calls, text and look pretty) because I've got my iPod touch for everything else!

This is my phone; Motorola W375. The iPhone hasn't come to Australia yet, so in the mean time, I will just keep this phone until I buy the iPhone.:)

wow, was looking at this phone to buy and here it is. can i ask u, (me being new to cell phones and computers but a fast learner) if for to download pictures, can it be done on a mac?,,, or if so, was software needed, or from what i believe to do for pictures, is just hook up usb wire and computer will do the rest? need to pick up a phone for on the road and for now don't want to sign up any carriers. thinking if i'm going to get this one might as well enjoy the camera and see if can take some good pictures while out on the road (if there any good). any help much appreciated, thank you

You know I have always had good luck with Motorola phones. I had a RAZR V3c for 2 years without any problems. I like the KRZR a bit more so far. The phone is quite a bit faster and more compact. The screen is a little smaller but brighter and clearer. Alltel runs the Motorola software on their Moto phones so they work pretty well. I have heard bad things about Verizon phones however.

The new Alltel application program I have is called Celltop and it seems to work pretty well. Pretty decent for free http://www.mycelltop.com/#home

This summer when it is time to upgrade my parents cheap little phone I might just give them the KRZR and then get a RAZR2 for myself. You can't get an iPhone in South Dakota.

Motorola phones are not good. I am glad you like yours, but the UI is terrible, the screens are so low spec and everyone has one.
