Fedex says that you're not allowed to pick up a package shipped by AT&T unless there has been at least one unsuccessful delivery attempt.
My iphone is RIGHT here 2.5 miles away from my house and they won't let me pick it up! When you call AT&T reps they are like "DURRR the receiver must call fedex to pick up a package... just call fedex and you can pick it up." But you can't, because that policy is AT&T's policy with Fedex.
WTF seriously?

that REALLY sucks. i was hoping to do the same when it gets to the local facility today/tomorrow. i can't stand the waiting! naarf!
Well my friends, it has been a great run complaining with everyone here. I think we all learned a valuable lesson from the experience. While my delivery was scheduled for Monday. It is on a truck from SBN to Warsaw as we speak, which means by lunch time today, I will be unboxing my coveted device.
Of course, I didn't bring my Mac to work with me, so I will have to find an iTunes machine here at the office or grab my Mac.
I hope everyone gets them as early as possible. and enjoy.

mine's at my local facility also. don't you think they will just deliver them today? I highly doubt AT&T put down some kind of restriction saying they can't deliver today. It's obvious that they would be able to deliver today too.
typically if they deliver it out today, it should be "out for delivery" by at the latest 7:00 am. I think.. I know UPS is always at 6 am
Did it get there early enough? Has it been sorted? I may never know.... until later today but then I'll cry lol

Ordered via Premier on the 11th. Premier status confirms ordered on 11th.
Order Status from wireless number search indicated that it was ordered on the 12th.
Picked up by FedEx in Ft Worth 18th at 3:32pm, went through Memphis sort facility in the wee hours, etc.
As of 7:54am, it already left the local FedEx location and is "On FedEx vehicle for delivery".
Estimated delivery still says 22nd with 2-day, however, I fully expect it to be delivered by this afternoon.
I suspect that they tried to estimate conservatively, but probably have it worked out to attempt delivery today for all that ordered by the 12th.

So they can go from Texas to Virginia in 1 day but can't go the last 2 miles in a day?
Mine is stuck at the local fed-ex facility also. I too called Fed-Ex and they specified that AT&T stated that a hold couldn't be put on the phone, which i guess was to ensure that we didn't get our hands on them till at least the 19th. It would have been nice if AT&T added a note that it could be picked up after the 19th.
i would take back half my rage rants if it does indeed get delivered today. Only half.

so as of this morning at 8:12am. (6-19-09) i still have not received any information whatsoever regarding my iPhones. no email's, no tracking numbers, no phone calls, nothing has changed. all my stuff still says in progress. Credit card does not sure any pending charges either.
I did however, call att premier last night. (6-18-09) I just wanted to make sure the G D order was placed and there weren't any problems since i had not heard anything. He just said everything looks good and should arrive next Monday or Tuesday. Still some BS though.
i thought for sure that checking it on the 19th in the AM, that i would see something...guess not.
I'm pretty pissed honestly. i might wtf..everyone else gets their crap on the 19th. i ordered mine on the 9th at 8pm eastern. wayyy ahead of everybody else. and i am not doing any sort of porting of numbers to confuse anybody.
it is 2 new iphones, new service, new numbers..how hard is that?

I ordered two iPhones through the Premier store on the 10th. They shipped out yesterday, and are scheduled for delivery on the 22nd. They arrived in Durham this morning and they're on the truck for delivery. I called FedEx, and they said that the driver has to make certain "time commitments" before he can deliver my package. They said that if he has time today, he'll deliver my package, but if he gets behind schedule he'll have to wait until Monday.

Impressive, shipped from Ft. Worth, TX yesterday evening, to Lake Worth, FL overnight. However, Uggggh, sitting at the Lake Worth distribution center, 3 miles from my office. Praying for a change in satus, that it is out for delivery today. Wishful thinking?

They won't deliver ahead of schedule if its a 2 day and it comes overnight. Mines in my local facility and I'm contacting them to pick it up right now.
well since you guys are 3 hours ahead and it's only 5:51 am here in Cali, I'll reserve my rage for another 3 hours.
