FedEx tracking now updated "in transit" (vs. "picked up"). Estimated delivery Jun 22, 2009 by 4:30 PM. Also finally got a shipping notification e-mail from ATT Premier. In it, it says this:

Please note: Your billing with AT&T begins today. You should have inbound service by the time you receive your phone. Once you have full service (inbound and outbound) with AT&T, your account with your old service provider will automatically be cancelled. Do not cancel your service with your old service provider prior to receiving full service with AT&T.

So I'm being billed for service I'm not receiving, in addition to my current T-Mobile plan. And I have no choice in the matter.
 
JUST got a tracking number

Hi All,

Just wanted to post to tell you about my experience.

I had been reading this thread and refreshing the regular ATT order status.

about 1.5 hours ago, my order for a 16gb black 3gs showed In Progress with none backordered.

15 mins ago, all the items changed to shipped but no tracking number.

just now it showed shipped with a tracking number and only the one line with Various SIM.

I checked the tracking and it shows that it will be here by 430PM on the 19th.

I ordered through the premier site and did not choose overnight. However, my final order page did say overnight, but my email said 2-day.

Now, how this will make it to PA in 13.5 hours when it hasnt been picked up, is a mystery to me. Well see!! :confused::D

Thanks to all that clued me in to check the regular ATT order status. Of course, the Premier status still says "...will process shortly"

Edit: BTW, i order on the 10th and the Premier website shows 10th but regular site shows the 11th.

Funny thing is, i had come to peace with it not getting here tomorrow due the status on the premier site and calling and not getting a solid answer.

Sorry for starting this thread.....I just wanted to have a nice central place for the Premier order members.

Its all good.. ;) The thread did what it was supposed to and helped people share the info.

Blame the rage on the "mob mentality"
 
I just want to know, why were we mis-informed and shafted by AT&T and will they do ANYTHING to apologize?

My plan was to call them up tomorrow and ask about the order. If they came back with BS, I would FIRMLY asked for both activation fees to be refunded.
I think thats pretty reasonable and have heard of them waiving this.

(My wife got a Propel which should have shipped last week, but they decided to wait)

I have been kinda going-off on the ATT Facebook page...that guy is probably going to screw up my account or something. I just can't get over how ****ing shady AT&T is! T-Mobile never pulls **** like this.
 
I am going to try ...because if it left Texas at 9:40pm last night it should get to PA(where I live) later on ...I hope !!

I've been trying to search around. Apparently apple won't let you do a saturday pickup, but we're dealing with att. Also, you have better chances by calling ahead before the order arrives at the hub. Then the hub has to unpack them as well. Saturday pick up includes orders that used 2 day express. So the minute the order is scanned at the airport... i'm going to call fedex and see what I can do. sheesh...these f'ers really make us work for our discounts. Imagine the rage tomorrow when pictures are posted up, etc...etc.
 
got my premier store email confirmation that it has been shipped and my credit card has been charged. I ordered on the 10th but premier didn't process it until the 11th.

Still same dilemma however. I ordered in-store before I did the premier order because the AT&T rep said my activation and upgrade fee wouldn't be waived if I did it in store. So I did it through premier to save $36.

Is anyone getting their iphone through USPS? my tracking has not updated all day and I would like to know where it's shipping from. I may get lucky if its coming from Texas with the 2day shipping.
 
Just to kinda play devil's advocate, I'd just like to point out that all of you could very well receive your iPhone tomorrow (today, technically), after all, its an "estimated" delivery date.

Mine says the 22nd as well, but I'm holding out hope that it'll come tomorrow. Then again, mine is currently in Dallas, only about 40 miles from my house.

Just, everyone please be sure to come back and post when you receive yours... it'll be interesting to see whether or not they pull this off.

My fedex status just went from saying its in Dallas, TX at 9:30pm to being in Memphis, TN at 11:11pm. I sure hope thats a mistake.
 
Still no update. What sheer incompetence. I'm still backordered. I guess they don't want my $400 and $125 per month for the next 2 years. Jerks. :rolleyes:
 
Oh man I'm glad I got out of the FAN premier account yesterday this has to be the most ridiculous part of the company ever. I just got an email at 12:53am like some others here that says only part of my order has shipped yet the only thing I ordered was the iPhone. Go to the premier order status and you guessed it they are going to process my order shortly. Go to the att consumer status and it says Apple IPN 32GB S 3G BLK PHONE has shipped with a fed ex tracking number that indicates delivery by 3pm on the 19th. Well it's either an iPhone or the sim card LOL. AT&T Great Job! :eek:

Update - I notice they haven't charged my card again for the purchase, the hold they had fell off yesterday but I'm sure they will fix that soon.

Well Memphis is a Major Hub for Fedex.....mine is there as well....I live in Washington State so my delivery is now going backward....:eek:

Ok... but I'm literally 30 minutes from Dallas.... can't imagine why they'd ship it off to TN, then back to me. Now I really don't know if I'll get it tomorrow....
