Would you believe it...the same thing that's happening with iCloud email is now happening for me with both iMessage and SMS messages (no/intermittent notification when device is off, notification when device is on, works on the Mac) on both my iPad and iPhone both running iOS 10.1.

The message thing started for me this afternoon several hours ago. A friend of mine said he noticed it too. His is back up and running. Mine isn't.

EDIT: allegedly, the notification for messages only on the active device is a new feature.

I've started getting iMessage problems too this morning. Not coming through to the phone but seem to be ok on the iPad. WTF?!?!?
Never had so many issues.

Maybe good news, they are working on it?

1. Can we all agree/confirm that our emails are there (in the cloud/server).

2. It's the push notification service (server?) that has failed........hence other apps that go through Apple apns are not pushing to iOS devices.

My Mail is definitely there but I'm not having problems with any other app (Apple or otherwise) pushing to my devices. The issue seems isolated to mail on iOS devices for me.

Whats almost more annoying for me is that there is no notice of it on the iCloud status page. I don't mind problems if they're acknowledged and fixed.

So far this morning, iCloud Mail seems to be working fairly consistently. I even received an email from Apple Bug Reporter than my Report for iCloud Mail not pushing has been closed.

Which avenue did you go through to report the push failure?

I'm chatting with a senior advisor.....is that tier2?

Not necessarily. There is Technical Support, then they have their own Senior Advisor. Then there is Tier 2 Technical Support and they have their own T2 Senior Advisors. After T2 it goes directly to Engineers.

Thats where I started and was transferred up and up through the ranks. Senior Advisor can still fill out a ticket for you but probably won't get as fast of a response.

Would the bug reporter report being closed indicate that they think it's fixed?

Typically yes. When they close a report it means the issue is found and fixed. If its just been found and not fixed it will remain open and they will give context to the current standing.

Have not missed an email today thus far.

So how long from problem to solution did it take....in your case?

That's promising. I'm not gonna pop the champagne just yet but I tested last night and just now, push seems to be working so far.

Yeah I woke up with 8 emails, all with proper time stamps on lock screen compared to in the mail app. And have received 4 emails this morning, all pushing immediately. But I am still breathing a sigh of relief yet.

So far today I have not missed a native mail app notification for iCloud. In some cases I get it a few seconds before Spark. Oh please let this be fixed.

In all seriousness, I'm not yet ready to admit it's fixed. We've had too many brief honeymoons on this one. I'll keep testing through the day and see. Out of curiosity, is it not pushing for you?
Correct....same sporadic push. Worse this morning/today.
