I guess I am a bit confused, ATT_US.bundle is grayed out for me on the update screen, won't let me select it.

So I know that this might be the wrong place to ask this but is there aplace to get the 3.0 firmware from and how to load it with out being a developer? Msg me if you have somthing don't post it don;t want anyone getting in trouble.

You'll need to do the following for MMS to work:

4. Call AT&T Tier Two Technical Support at 888-892-9760 press option 1

5. When talking to representative explain that you are a registered software developer for the iphone and need to have your phone activated for MMS.

These are the things they need to do to make it work

a. Make sure you are on a standard texting plan and not the iphone texting plan
b. Enable Media Net and WAP Push
c. There are two areas in Snooper that need to be checked off to enable MMS
d. They need to do a push OTA (over the air activation)

doing this now - do we still need to load the hacked ippc file?

MMS almost works. Sends to about 95% (Sending status at the top) then just sticks there. SMS still works. Must be waiting for something back and does not see it. Anyone else have this problem?

Thats what my MMS always did, ever since it was added to the phone.

is there a way to get the original ipcc file ?

I tried this modified one here, got the icon for MMS, it isn't working.

Tried the tethering functions, not working either.

now my visual voicemail isnt working, it keeps asking me to "Set up Now" but after the final step says "voicemail unavailable".

I've installed the ATT_US.ipcc file to get the camera icon and tethering option. I used the setting that were posted in another thread, but it doesnt send. My tethering option has disappeared now.

Unfortunately, even with these settings, it still refuses to send MMS. I don't understand why it stopped working for me after Beta 2.

Went through all the directions and got the camera button, but mms fails to send. Also called AT&T, who informed me that they weren't enabling mms for any iPhones at the time. Not really sure what to do now. Advice is welcome.

i just want my visual voicemail back, it was working fine before i tried this new ipcc file.

anyone have an unmodified ipcc file ?

I've called AT&T twice and no dice with "removing" it. What do I say and who do I talk to? I've got the hacked IPCC file installed, but every time I call them they say that they cant do it. If I say something about that "snooper" wont they question me about their system and how I know about it?

Yes you need the hacked IPPC loaded before you call ATT
ok thanks for confirming that

they were extremely nice when I called and did not question anything when I mentioned it.

I wish there was a way to do it with the current file - I see a lot of issue with the current ippc file being sent around.

That happened to me as well.

I updated the carrier settings again, and got the option back. I then set up tethering via bluetooth first and the setting hasn't disappeared even after connected via USB.

The MMS settings did enable the ability to send MMS message, however any mms message i try to send fails.

Confirmed. You have to it in this order: Update Carrier Settings, Pair with PC, Turn Tethering On, Connect devices. The Tethering then stays.

Edit: My tethering option disappeared again. I'm thinking the GM has a security check in place which removes the tethering if you haven't paid for it...

I wouldn't say anything about the things they need to do to remove it; I'd just tell them that you are a Dev and need MMS Enabled, then ask them what they need to do to get that done.

Just got off the phone with Tier 2 Tech Support, the lady I talked to told me I have MMS enabled on my phone(s), and when the 'Network' upgrades are in place, they will notify all iPhone customers that the update is avail in iTunes. She also mentioned it should be avail within a month or so.

Question: If I load the hacked IPPC file on my iPhone, and I notice I have problems, can I restore from a backup and get the original IPPC file back on the iphone?

Also the iTunes that is listed in first post, is there a difference with that version and the 8.2 I currently have installed from Apple?

Did it work for you once you called? Also what issues do you see with the IPPC?

I have the GM release, all the MMS and tethering options available on my phone and I talked to AT&T per the instructions:

4. Call AT&T Tier Two Technical Support at 888-892-9760 press option 1

Still, not working...... The ATT lady at that number said she couldn't save the necessary changes to enable Medianet and Wap push...

What else can be done?

Well I just plugged my Iphone in and my tethering is now working, but not my MMS. I don't know what I did but whatever, its working.

I have a feeling AT&T is going to get the MMS issue taken care of much sooner than they have said. I think there will be a lot of outcry especially from people who buy the 3G S, since MMS is advertised heavily for the phone. Maybe AT&T will want to cut down on the calls they'll get about MMS not working.
