It's Apple people, not you.... be patient and go to work, that's what I did, yes I have a bricked phone in my pocket, but I'll try again tonight when I get home, or tomorrow.... their activation servers can't handle the load.

it'll calm down eventually and your phone will activate.

be patient.

Thank you for answering. Im not the most computer savvy person and Im using a different laptop then normal so I dont know if it was the way I connected it or what. I would totally believe its me. :D

Funny how I can get to the App store and spend money there with no problem. But I can't access the activation within iTunes to get everything running.

Is this the error y'all are getting? I just got home and haven't been able to read any other threads.

Yep, thats the one I got. Go in to IE and enable them under 'Internet Options'
After that, I get another error saying that it cant do anything because my internet connection was reset.

They were already anabled. I unchecked them and then rechecked them, and I still get the error. :(

Patience is one thing. A refund on my AT&T service plan would be another.

Yes, I absolutely love my Iphone but not having it accessible and locked in "recover" mode has made me miss several important calls. I've been offline for a couple hours now.

Going back and forth between the Store and Iphone doesn't appear to help...or maybe my timing is just bad. Grats to those that slipped in!

NOTE: five seconds after I hit Submit on this post, I tried again, basically out of habit, and I'm activated. :) Restoring from backup now.

i truly question why anyone would buy the phone day one if the phone is tied to their livelihood. You've got to go in knowing you are not guaranteed a smooth process with a brand new product and brand new procedure.

That is the risk any early adopter takes.

If you can't take that risk, you shouldn't have purchased it today.

I don't know! I just kept trying as I was emailing a friend, etc, and I went to go switch between my Library and iPhone again and I saw that the activation page was suddenly up! :) I'm already syncing.

Gratz man! I have a feeling I'm going to be here a while.....back to clicking!!!

I think I just figured out what the problem is...this is Apple's way of making sure we plug the phone in and get a proper initial charge before we start using it!

:D
