still not in...

I never received an error message but I am still not activated...

I plugged it in iTunes around 9am this morning and I had the option to restore from back up, and I did that. It went through all the steps but still has "no service"

My original iphone is still working and activated.

What do I need to do to get activated and my service working? (remember I have not received the "error" message)

I went back to AT&T and they told me the same thing that the AT&T tech support person told me on the phone. They said that the iTunes server is down and all that. They said to keep trying and it should just magically activate sometime.

This doesn't seem right to me though... I already went through the registration steps and all that. Now when I sync through itunes it just "backs up" my iphone and then nothing happens...

Anyone have this same problem? or anyone know how to help me, or what is going on.

I updated my Version 1 phone before I realized there were all of these issues. It took me a while, but I just kept on clicking on my iPhone in the "devices" Column in iTunes, and eventually it went through around 1:30pm EST.

Glad that is over. Now lets see how I do tonight when I drive over to the Apple Store and get a 3G phone...
