I run it with my 3GHz Quaqd 7Gig RAM x1900xt CS3

32 seconds.

My ex 2.66 6 GB Ram did it in 36 seconds.

Also, in the the Xbench test my 2.66 was faster than the new 3ghz with same X1900 but 3GHz I more gig of RAM.

So, my 3ghz is not slower (thanks god) , but I don't believe you can tell the difference with the 2.66 in real time working. I don't think its worth the extra $$
Huh. Did you have the cache and history settings as I did? Any other apps open?

Wow, I ran this test 2 weeks ago in my Dual G5 and now with my MacPro and these are the results:

Dual G5 2.0 / 1 GB RAM / CS2 - 4.35 mins
MacPro Dual 2.66 / 3 GB RAM / CS3 - 0.31 mins

Really impressive!

Win Server 2003 4GB RAM

Check this out...

Macbook CoreDuo 2.0ghz
60 gig hard drive
No scratch disk

TEST ONE: 1.25 gigs ram: 7+ minutes

TEST TWO: 2 gigs ram: 1:25 minutes

so, going from 1.25 to 2 gigs of ram made a colossal difference.

Powermac G5 Dual-Core 2GHz. 3GB DDR2 RAM. 500GB SATA 7200rpm & 160GB SATA 7200rpm scratch. Completed test in 1 min 6 sec.

Not too bad I guess. Almost double the time of some people's Mac Pro.

yeah, but imagine how many seconds it would have been if he'd have waited for the next release of the Mac Pro. I mean, 12 seconds on TWO THOUSAND AND SIX hardware and prices?!!?!?! :D:D:D:D:D

Could have clocked it at 11.837 easily.

The eight core model came out in two thousand and seven, didn't it? ;)

You're brave to install the trial -- I rely on Photoshop for my work and couldn't take the risk, since previous trial versions caused many probs once the purchased product was installed.
