Iphone AI is just to make most average people feel the photos look good, applying so much AI then of course the photo would be less clear if you zoom in.
I want to be happy!))Iphone AI is just to make most average people feel the photos look good, applying so much AI then of course the photo would be less clear if you zoom in.
BINGO!what even was the point of adding night mode to the telephoto camera if the phone doesnt even use it in lower light..
Have you checked out Photographic Styles in the stock camera app?Installed Lightroom. And wow: it allows for free shoot in HDR DNG files (raw) and edit it with saving to camera roll.
So here are test. Each couple of photos - first is Apple camera app, second is Lightroom. Lightroom editing slightly noise reduction and whites/shadows
In very dark light it will switch to the wide lens. I have done some casual testing indoors. In dim rooms it stays on the 77mm lens, but in the dark space under my desk it switches to the wide lens.Is this in all types of lights with your device?
I'm not sure 15.2 made any difference on my device.
Unfortunately… There are nothing to do with oversharp/USM and noise removal, but yes.Have you checked out Photographic Styles in the stock camera app?
Take great photos and videos

And how did you do it? More warm yes, I can't do less saturatedmore warm pics and less saturated
And what about blurry faces and lack of details? How this app copes with that?Using ProRAW, I have found the Pixelmator app, now available for the iPhone, makes my photos look amazing!!! So clean and sharp down to the pixel level. I think I like it better than Lightroom . Samples:

It’s just an editing app for your photos. If you took a photo of a person and it got blurred & lacks detail, that’s the photographers fault not the app. You only want to edit your best photos, not the blurred ones LOL.And what about blurry faces and lack of details? How this app copes with that?
This tread (as I see it) is about bad iPhone camera and seeking how to fix it.It’s just an editing app for your photos. If you took a photo of a person and it got blurred & lacks detail, that’s the photographers fault not the app. You only want to edit your best photos, not the blurred ones LOL.
15.3 is just minor bug fixes, nothing of major significance. I’m hoping to hear of some camera app updates in 15.4.This tread (as I see it) is about bad iPhone camera and seeking how to fix it.
Not about fancy apps to process good pictures.
And regarding camera… My Lightroom experiments and googling after gave me bad feeling that autofocus is not good and occasionally (50%??) doing job wrong, causing blurry pictures. After that AI and “smart” HDR adding other ugly processing, making photos look plastic-fantastic
Installed 15.3 public beta. Nothing better(

It’s just a cellphone camera but should be able to produce better images than some of the absolute rubbish I’ve seen in this thread. I don’t expect it to compete with a DSLR but do expect better than I’ve seen so far.
Well the title needs to be changed to “Really bad iPhone (jpeg) photos” since that’s what’s apparently discussed. I shoot raw so I don’t see those issues. No plastic look with mine. This tread (as I see it) is about bad iPhone camera and seeking how to fix it.

Me too. Exactly.15.3 is just minor bug fixes, nothing of major significance. I’m hoping to hear of some camera app updates in 15.4.

yes. Plastic is from the post processing. But Raw shooting is not resolving auto focus problems, and Raw photos are same blurry as from iPhone camera app, I posted some side-by-side pictures from raw and camera app some messages before.Well the title needs to be changed to “Really bad iPhone (jpeg) photos” since that’s what’s apparently discussed. If that could be the solution-I’ll be happy. But read my previous reply(The main problem with the iPhone camera is that it "does not share" the lenses. This is for easy use by most people. If you want cool shots, use third-party lens separation applications. However, there are several nuances. Third-party applications do not shoot well in night mode, only Halide has macro mode. Keep calm, shoot in raw!
The same… ? I noticed xr more sharper in widest zone (under focus point and further) because f1,8. iPhone 13 f1,6 and in this parameter it portrait better but less universal. And yes focus trouble super often found. (it’s new technology I think they fix this, I hope)Me too. Exactly.
I just noticed it was blurry.
It was worse than my XR photos. Just put it side by side and shoot several images. XR pictures are bright and sharp…(
Wait for 15.4… Till spring?(
I’m seriously thinking to ditch it over the eBay-like site, with 300-400$ loss, and buy 11 or 12 version. I bought it to take pictures of my baby-girl. I wanted best. Not crap.
But first want to visit service center. May be they’ll take it back and return money

Shoot in raw, apply sharpening, and still worse than from my old XR. Some times they were alike, but that times I was trying to repeatedly touch screen to force lock focus point.
Of course (what!?) XR was perfectly shooting without it.
Read on the apple discussions it is LiDAR autofocus fault. And who knows is it software (fixable) or hardware problem
And since not everyone complaining about it… If they are not blind, than, seems to be, it is rather hardware than software issue…
