Update 5/18, 9:10 PST

On truck and out for delivery today! So bang to buck, ordered on 5/5 and original ship date was 5/19 with delivery on 5/26. Actual delivery date going to be 5/19 :D

Mine arrived at this morning via UPS.
Ordered 5/4, Shipped 5/15, Delivered today. That is a week earlier than the first estimate, and a day earlier than the second estimate.

UPS took about 3 days in china, a day in Hong Kong and Alaska, then straight to Chicago at early morning. I am very happy with this fast delivery!

I'm still prepared for shipment as well. Lady here at work just walked into the apple store and got the same model last night. Should have just done that..

LOL. Yeah my coworker frequents target daily and txt messages me whenever he sees them at target...which is quite often. I kept thinking..."damn, should've just kept on hunting." but the time and gas and half expectations kills me.
 
Ordered on May 1st, estimated shipping time was the 16th, but it went out on the 14th. Supposed to arrive tomorrow (20th), but on the UPS tracking it says

The sender has requested a delivery time that is later than the service commit time for that area / Delivery rescheduled

I emailed them the night before because it said it was where it is now, and then it said it was in Alaska, and I wanted to know why. They replied after the first occurrence of the above message saying that it should arrive by the end of the day on the 20th, but then I got another one. At the top it still says exception, so I just hope that it does arrive, as I've been waiting to get my hands on one of these since the original was announced.

Those of you who received your iPad how are you enjoying it? I initially thought the iPad was pure gimmick but I've been converted and I'm typing on mine as we speak.

I stepped in a best buy week and a half ago saw 5 iPads in stock and was debating to buy it I came back later that day and it was the last one, needless to say mean to be and bought it.

Can't wait for a jailbreak, this thing will be awesome.
 
How much time there will be between "Prepared for Shipping" and "Shipping".. Any experienced users here to comment on this? Will it be shipped in few hours?

For me it was about 40 hours. Mine is finally shipped. Order date was the 6th, original delivery date was the 26th, estimated delivery date now is next Wednesday the 25th.
 
Ordered White 16gb wifi on May 9.
Scheduled to ship May 23rd and be delivered on May 27th. Then the delivery date changed to May 31st. Got an email this morning that said it shipped!!

Looks like mine went to Hong Kong before heading stateside. I had hoped it'd make it here (Sacramento) in time for delivery today, but it looks like it'll be Monday before I get it.

Gonna be one LONG weekend. :p
 
I picked up my iPad locally a few days ago (and LOVE it, btw), but I had to order my orange cover, so that should be here Monday!

I love orange!
 
Been planning for the iPads arrival lol bought the shell case and sleeve to keep it looking good. Even though I got a longs way to go haha.

Well currently the Apple Order Status site is down, but my iPad 2 32GB Black Wifi has not been touched by FedEx.:confused:

Did anyone else have this problem? I mean I love apple but this is rather annoying. I've never had an issue with an Apple product or shipment so this is a first.
 
My iPad is finally in the area. What kills me is that its current location is literally five miles from here.
