Oh, so close yet so far away. Mine's at the local FedEx facility which is two miles from the house. Got there too late to make the delivery truck... :(

Apple said i'd get it by the 6th. Walked into a target today on my lunch break and snagged exactly what I had ordered. Sorry apple, it'd been 12 days and hadn't moved...you said 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks + 5 days shipping is 3 business weeks.

It says SHIPS in 1-2 weeks.

well... regardless of where you bought it from, Mr. Jobs, Apple Inc, and the Chinese workers still gets their cut of the money! :D

Did you have any trouble when you tried to cancel the order with Apple?

Now it is May 26th, and it is prepared for shipment! How long does it usually take to ship after this point? Original Ship date was May 31.

I was just about to ask the exact same question. :) I ordered black/64g/at&t
version on Saturday, 5/14.

When I woke up this morning(7AM), the order status on Apple's website
still showed the same thing it's been showing since the day I placed the
order.

However, 5 minutes ago, the status changed to "Prepared for Shipment"
and I was really excited to see that. (not really sure how many hours or
days it will take to become "shipped" :D )

I assume that "prepared" for shipment means that's it' already packed
in a shipping box and ready to be picked up by FedEx or UPS from
Foxxconn's factory in Communist China?

By the way, is it now to late to cancel my order with Apple? :D :D :D

No trouble, they hadn't charged me yet so it went off my account immediately.

Wow, Fedex really moves. I checked the status this morning and it's out on the truck for delivery -- 6 days sooner than expected!!!

That's good news for me. Mine are headed to just about the same place, left one day later than yours, and appears to be on the same time table. I didn't think they could get it from AK and onto a truck in NC in one day.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed when I found out I got UPS instead of FedEx based upon reading the posts on here. However, I have to say that I am very happy with UPS and their speed. My iPad left Chengdu on May 24th and I received my iPad today May 26th @ 10:25 this morning. Yes I understand that China is a day ahead, but that is pretty quick if you ask me. Center of China to Kentucky in about 2 days is pretty good as far as I am concerned. So do not fret if you end up with UPS. I ordered on the 10th of May was originally quoted May 31st delivery. So delivery on May 26th is pretty good.:)
