I mean this is MacRUMORS.

I personally think it’s interesting that there could be different tips for different specific use cases. Who knows whether this is by itself or with updated iPads. We’ll just have to find out.

Here is the website for MacFACTS!!
The suggestion that they're going to release this kind of product - an accessory - without it being coupled to a major product release that uses the accessory seems laughable. There are many kinds of rumors and this one is very likely not wholly accurate.

Weird, could this be one of those fake rumours that Apple seeds to try and find the source of a leaker?

Next thing we know Apple will be rumoured to release 'Love From' collabs where Jony Ive designs a minimalist collection of these things:

If the new Apple Pencil does have USB-C I hope it’s an input port so we can charge it with a wire, and not a male port so that we have to charge it sticking out of the side of an iPad like the first gen Pros. That was always asking for trouble!

But I want to hear people clapping when they announce the Apple Pencil 3. That’s really important. I don’t want to clap alone.

If I remember correctly Apple patented something that has a Pencil working in 3D, more or less something that could work with the Apple Vision Pro headset maybe? Writing something in mid-air with a device that tracks position, angle (sans pressure) could be used with any Apple platform device I supposed...

If Apple really wants to introduce something "game changing" for next year's iPad Pro updates, they'd update the screen to the same matte etching that's on the new Xencelabs Display 24. It's the smoothest surface i've ever used, and with no glare. That, and give us a significant size bump, for the love of Steve Jobs!

And, for future iPhones - how hard can it be to give us the same capacitive layer in iPads, so we can use Apple Pencils with our iPhones??

Will the patents about colour sampling and haptic feedback be included in this new model?
Looking forward to it.

This would be much more appreciated… an update to the pencil but compatibility with previous iPads is much better than new iPads

While multiple reports have indicated that Apple plans to announce updated iPad Air, iPad mini, and entry-level iPad models this week, Japanese blog Mac Otakara believes a third-generation Apple Pencil is more likely to be announced instead of new iPads.

An excerpt from the report, computer translated by Bing:Last month, leaker "Majin Bu" said the new Apple Pencil would feature interchangeable magnetic tips for drawing, technical drawing, and digital painting.

The second-generation Apple Pencil was announced on October 30, 2018. It comes with one non-magnetic tip, with replacement tips available. The second-generation Apple Pencil attaches magnetically to 2018 and newer iPad Pro models, 2020 and newer iPad Air models, and the latest iPad mini. In the U.S., it is priced at $129.

Apple also continues to sell the first-generation Apple Pencil with a Lightning connector for the tenth-generation entry-level iPad and some older iPad models. It has been rumored that this Apple Pencil model might be updated with a USB-C connector soon. The original Apple Pencil was released in November 2015 for $99.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today said Apple is making progress on new iPad models, but he believes that the release of these devices "won't happen this month."
