The great thing for those not linking the X is they can get an 8 or an 8 plus without making any compromises
True words for sure and all of them are great phones, just pick the one that suits you and your needs.

lol
yes, my opinion.
If i hurt your feelings, I dont apologize.
I'll keep it, and deal with the flaws because it has a better camera.
Thanks.
iPhone 8 are for the people who freak out over change, like the OP. You adjusted when you first got the iPhone. You’ll adjust again, one day.
The 8 could also be for people who are smart with their money or don’t subscribe to the idea that a phone is a status symbol or part of their identity.
Jeez. Yeah, status symbol is exactly what Im looking for in a cell phone.
especially when I consider my iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus have absolutely NOTHING wrong with itself![]()
One of the big reasons I’m keeping it is because of OIS on the telephoto lens. Zooming in picture and video on the X is awesome.
I also think I’ll be a lot happier once more of the apps I use update and don’t have those awful looking software bezels on them. You’d think Apple would have mandated an update before the release of the phone.
Wasn’t singling out anyone in particular. Read some of these phone threads and tell me I’m wrong.
you'll get used to it if you give yourself a chance.
i use a galaxy S8 which has the same aspect ratio. it grows on you and apps are quickly to adapt.
Do you have a picture proving you own the X? Just that lots of these "lists" that people come up with to basically bash the X seem really rather petty, to the point that almost ALL of it was known before the X even released. So, sorry for assuming this is just another trolling post.Hi,
I started out with iPhone 3g and have been really loving every upgrade until the X: 4s, 5s, 6s+
I upgraded from the 6s+ to the X and was really excited about the X but do not like:
- the device is too tall and just not wide enough. Every time I pick up my 6s+ to read I feel the .7 cm or so difference to be very noticeable.
- faceid is good but touchid(with multiple impressions of same finger) works just fine. had some issues in bright sunlight with faceid but in general it works well enough.
- the new portrait photo modes and fake bokeh and very gimmicky.
- people are raving about the OLED. I have made a lot of side by side comparisons of photos but do not notice a big difference.
- the 6s+ has not slowed down with ios 11 as have older iphones. It is still very usable. The X does not open such apps as Downcast blazingly faster. Web pages and safari do not open blazingly faster.
I do not like the swipe up to go home. I am using assistive touch home button placed on the bottom right of the screen.
And finally, the price tag. I can afford it but at this point I think I will return and wait for the next gen.
Are you returning your X?
Some people are just scared of change and/or clearly have absolutely nothing else in life to worry about.I can probably think of a few more but I think those are the main points that effect most people. The rest is just nitpicking because I expect a fluid and sensible 60 FPS experience and Apple hasn't delivered that since iOS 6... and it's not because of the hardware we have.

Wow, i've read a lot of condescending BS on this website...this takes grand prize. WTF is wrong with you? I just want a phone without those (to me) awful bezels. Will never buy a phone of that design again. Has nothing to do with status symbols or whatever fictional BS you people can and will make up. To suggest otherwise is simply juvenile. I could make assumptions as to why you make your phone purchase of choice but that's beneath me. Who gives a ****?The 8 could also be for people who are smart with their money or don’t subscribe to the idea that a phone is a status symbol or part of their identity.
Money is playing absolutely no role in my decision. I simply like the size of the Plus more. All the threads of “returning iPhone X” will not happen if money is no object. Due to the hype, a lot of people who returned, are returning and will return the phone, got the phone by spending beyond their means with the thought they can return them within the return period. No matter what justification these people noted, it always come down to price and economical reasons.l in their real lives.

Same here, Just got back from Apple Store exchanged my X for a 8 Plus. Loved most things about it, clearly the future for Iphones, but the notch. After a week it was a show stopper.Figured this way, On IUP when the updated X comes out, the amount I paid for the 8 plus will be less than any POS used IPhone 7 plus, with no warranty, I could buy. Yes the 8 feels dated now.Money is playing absolutely no role in my decision. I simply like the size of the Plus more.
