ridiculous delay from 7200 rpm HD

Not Yet Shipping too?
I'm curious about who is still "Not Yet Shipping".
I ordered the matte 2.2 Ghz with the 7200 RPM drive on June 15, shipping to Bay area California US.
I have called Apple once, they claim it's FIFO, though some of this thread casts doubt on how well they stick to that... I haven't wanted to cancel and reorder though at this rate, one starts to get tempted to do just that.

You ordered nearly 8 days after me and mine JUST shipped last night. You probably have a few days wait, at least.
They're supposed to have you sign for it; I printed out a waiver and taped it to my door, allowing them to just drop it off... as I got home, the fedex truck was pulling away. woohoo! new mac!
They wouldln't leave mine without a "Direct Signature". Wouldn't even let my leasing office take receipt of it. I can't take it anymore. Driving out to BFE to take custody of my precious.
Mine still seems to be stuck in indy
Ordered mine on the 12th, went thru indy, got it the 18th - a monday.

hard to imagine that our MBPs have just been sitting in indianapolis since 4 this morning. i would imagine that if that's some sort of customs-passing step, then all the units would be cleared at the same time. i'm still hoping that the tracking info isn't up-to-date, and i might see mine today. i'm just full of optimism.
Okay, well that's one data point, thanks. Anyone else? I think I've seen a few posts on here from people who ordered same configuration MacBook Pro on or around June 15 who are already shipping.
BTW, forgot to say that I ordered the 15" (7200, 2.2 GHz)... looks like the 17" ship right away with 7200 drives.
They probably do a full cavity search...our MBP's will get here scarred for life.
I ordered mine on the 7th.... still hasn't shipped.
Is there anyone still in the same boat as myself? Where is koops? Did yours get shipped yet and I just missed it in the thread? I ordered the 15, 2.4, 7200 on June 5th the first day they were available and mine is still saying "Not Shipped Yet". They obviously don't ship first ordered, first delivered.
Osprey, i know people have been saying that apple's customer service reps are pretty worthless, but what i would do if i were you is go through this thread and count up the number of people whose CTO MBPs have shipped already that were ordered after yours, and then call apple with this information and ask them what the deal is. they might not be able to help you get your mbp any faster, but maybe they'll give you something for free to appease you?

Thanks for the support, but I really am not looking for anything free. I guess that I am just more than a little bit nervous with this being my first Mac. After reading some of these threads on the forum, it makes me wonder if I should have waited. Realistically I know that people post in the forum often times because they have some sort of problem or issue, but if you are going to be new to a product it does have the tendency to make you question your decision to buy. What I really want is a computer that works. The cost of the computer is high, but if I get a machine that doesn't freeze when I am doing photography or video editing, I will be happy in the long run and it will be worth the wait. With all that said, the waiting just seems to add to my concerns.
Warped trackpad!!
So after all this waiting I came home to a machine that's perfect in every way (including the 7200 RPM HD) except for the trackpad. It is unfortunately warped in the top right hand corner and I am currently on hold with AppleCare...
