Aha, it looks like you're in the same boat (or plane, I suppose) as me... that's exactly what I get too.

Here's hoping that it's just slow in updating and they're really on the way already, or will be soon...

On FedEx vehicle for delivery

YAY! Friday is such a good day, I don't work, I can order the iPhone and my MacBook Pro 7200 rpm will be here! YAY for Friday's!

when i put my 80 number into apecode (aswell as it giving me php errors) it just comes back to the input screen, dosnt show anything, anyone else got it working?

Estimated delivery is still 7 July. So i'm not sure what ETA 04 July is

Hopefully it'll be on a plane today surely it can't remain stuck in Shanghai for another day !!

AFAIK 4th July is the date they're expecting it to be in the local distribution chain, for delivery at the predicted time of 7th (though I have a date of the 8th, which is a Sunday!)

I think they ship the new MBP’s according to FIFO and region. I ordered mine (2.4 GHz, Glossy, 160 GB 7200 RPM) on Jun 6, 2007 at 03:38 AM PDT and still have the Not yet shipped Status. I assume they wait until they have a whole bunch of orders for the same region before then make them. In my case I have to wait until they have enough orders for the Netherlands.

Or are there already Dutch out here who have their shipments confirmed?

Hmmmm... My region (Bay Area, US) is one of the larger metropolitan areas, seems likely there would be plenty of orders to fill here so I can't imagine Apple waiting till they have enough orders from here.

I'm wondering if the MacBook Pro's ship out of more than one "place" (assembly plant, whatever). Appears the China facility is shipping, but maybe a bunch of us have our orders queued up somewhere else (either a different plant or geographically different place altogether)?

Not worth speculating perhaps. I emailed the woman at Apple who took my order, she was pretty on the ball. In fact she had predicted that in two weeks, they might start shipping (which was correct), but she couldn't promise. I'll see if she writes back with any info...

try logging into order tracking on apple store. there should be a button titled track shipment, click that and you are taken to applestore.bridge-point.com website where it will give your your tracking details including the shipment consignment number, copy this into the shipper tracking site e.g, TNT

atm ive got

I did, but there are still no carrier details:

Our Delivery Reference Number
80XXXXXXXX

In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly

Which only works once it's actually left Shanghai, I think.

apecode can give you some tracking information before that point.

I thought apecode was down but after some refreshes and MySQL errors I got the following information:
Delivery note Line Purchase Order Box Cnt Part Id Qty Date Actual Status Code Actual Status Status Description Shipping Point ETA
Flextronics Logistics B.V., Venray, NL
80XXXXXXXX 000030 W82XXXXXX 1 Z0EC0006U 1 28 jun 07 32 05 Flight Booked Apple Shanghai 03 jul 07
27 jun 07 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 03 jul 07
27 jun 07 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 03 jul 07

Flextronics? No Kuehne & Nagel anymore? Seems like it's on a plane now? And what's that ETA of 03 jul 07 in there? My delivery date? Apple expects the MBP to be delivered on the 6th.

Well I'm a beginner at interpreting this stuff, but it looks to me like your laptop left the factory at the same time as mine, and was also booked on a flight out, but is expected to arrive a day earlier - presumably it's either on an earlier flight, or it's just plain closer/easier to get it to your local distribution hub (logical as everything seems to go through the Netherlands anyway, and to get to the UK will add another day).

My understanding is that "flight booked" means only that they've decided what plane to put it on, and not that it's actually left yet.

I think you're right. So this would mean the ETA of the 3rd of july is probably when the plane arrives in the netherlands. No need to status checking untill then ;)

got it! first thought: it's so light... :)

2.4 matte 7200, ordered 6/11, original ship date 7/24, student adc discount, CA bay area.

no problems so far. i do notice that the display gives the appearance of having some darker areas, but that's because of viewing angle limitations (i.e., the darker areas move when i move my head). i have no complaints!

Apple says they have warehouses all over the country and some in China.

This is why they aren't strictly speaking shipping out FIFO.

I just got my MacBook Pro 15" with the 7200 RPM Drive today!! I ordered it on June 20th, so it only took 9 days!!

Question... does anyone know how to verify that it has the 7200 RPM drive?

Mine came in this morning, and shipped back to Apple this afternoon. Everything was fine except for the yellow gradient in the bottom third of the screen. It's a Samsung glossy, if anyone is interested.

I shipped it back and a replacement is due to be shipped July 11. They expedited the shipping at no charge. Hopefully the second one will have a better screen.

Sorry to hear that, thats a long time to wait considering apple messed up.

Have a looks in the system profiler and somewhere there should be a code for the hard drive. Then google for specs using the code.

29 Jun 2007 00:32 Arnhem Hub Consignment Received At Transit Point

27 Jun 2007 15:26 Shanghai Consignment Received At Transit Point
27 Jun 2007 11:27 Shanghai Consignment Picked Up

Does this mean it hasn't moved today, or they just forgot to update it ?

Seems to have taken a while for the status to update ?!!

Wouldn't be surprised it in takes a while to be sorted at Arnhem if its moved over to TNT there

Is this from TNT status btw ?

I was excited too... I got mine 2 hours ago. Guess what. the Yellowish crap. So, hold on to your excitement...

what you should do now is to make a reservation at the Genius Bar on your MBP's arriving date, so you can take it in right away for replacement/exchange/return etc (if yours screen is f--ked up).

good luck.
