Rome Total War: Will It Ever Come Out?

A great victory
Today the Faction of the macuser confederacy has struck a blow against the PC Alliance and we've gained a strategic advantage of the game Rome Total war now available on macs in a conference Leader of the confederacy yelled out "EAT THAT PC!!! YOU CAN NEVER BEAT US!!!
" The victory between these two opposing sides seems to now be in favor of the macusers who have better computers, HD's, work applications, and of course we're just better!! Mac Gaming Power GO!!!!!

Wow... you guys are weird
I've never played RTW, and I'm planning to try (as soon as I hear some reports about performance). My only question is, will it make me this weird?
As it can run on PPC machines I would not worry about performance on anything modern unless you go full out crazy on the options!

I'm as pleased as the next guy that "Rome: TW" is finally out for Mac, but for Mac (ie. OS X) gaming to come even close to your view of things, we need at least another few porting houses on a par with Feral. Sorry but, IMHO, it ain't going to happen.

I suppose PC gamers could be envious of the Mac gamers who finally get a game they've had for 5 years...

I feel like i should be offended but I call myself weird all the time so i'm not and unless you're naturally weird (like me) the game will only make you addicted to it and you'll be feeling urges to play the game again and again and again

Well it's going to be better on mac because macs have better processors and graphics cards and all that stuff

long time lurker of this thread, first time poster.
i went into the apple store last night and they still haven't received the stock. just a few questions:
for those of you who have already received the game and have played it, how is the performance and what are your mac's specs? does anyone know how this game will run on an imac with the 9400 video card?
also, someone posted something on the game being cheaper on gogamer.com. it's currently $25 there. does anyone have any prior experience buying from them? i ordered the game from them last night, but canceled immediately after reading their customer reviews.

me too. i was at my local store (Portland,Or) having my mouse-pad replaced and was like 'oh waite maybe they have rtw'. AND THEY DID!
We do have a spec on our website, as I mentioned in the thread it will play on a GMA950 so you are more than safe on a 9400.

We're only holding back the UA discs for people who have specifically told us they're on PPC machines, so:
- If you told us you're on PPC, you'll get your disc when the UA version is ready.
- If you told us you're on Intel, you'll get your disc as soon as we can get it to you.
- If you didn't tell us anything, you'll get your disc as soon as we can get it to you.
So don't worry, we won't be holding back your order!
