It sounds like perhaps you have downloaded the installer.dmg itself and not the full .pkg file that would have the certificate. What happens for example if I downloaded El Capitan today from the App Store is I would get a .pkg file with data inside that file identifying that .pkg as having been downloaded with my AppleID. And that .pkg file would have the certificate mentioned.

Then inside that .pkg file is the installer.dmg. That file is the same for everybody and would have the SHA that matches other downloads. That installer.dmg is not linked to an AppeID.

That sounds about right. Thanks for the explanation.

Not sure if it helps, but this is the results for the last download I made on July 6, 2016.

I got:
eebf02a20ac27665a966957eec6f5e6fe3228a19

But, the only version I could find was 10.10.2

Still no luck from the Apple Store, or from Apple Support. Apple store said the couldn't load it onto a thumb drive and that I should try to get an access code from Apple Support in order to download it from the AppStore. Nothing from them except referring me to a generic and worthless web page.

I'm currently on 10.9. I waited a little too long to download Yosemite and now Apple doesn't have it on the App Store. Know of a safe place to download Yosemite?

Why I want Yosemite and not El Capitan:
I've already gotten notifications that "Starting with OS X 10.11, Apple has restricted kernel level mixing access for third party vendors." Which means, 10.10 is the end of the line for some of my music hardware and software. I got burned upgrading OS X 1-4 too soon, so I usually stay one operating system behind to make sure I have something stable.

Did you end up getting yosemite??? If so, How???

i would love to send it but where do you live i live in india and if u can share ur mac id that has purchase history it will be nice
I don't really know, but if you can't find it, send me an 8GB USB stick and I can make a USB installer for you.

Hello, sorry to bring this topic again, but I'm in the same boat as much helpless users, I'm a Mountain Lion user and wanted to upgrade to Yosemite but no copy available in Apple Store.

Is there any that can help me to download a Yosemite to make a bootable USB?.

My machine is wiped already, have no system to install and don't want to upgrade to El Capitan (Late 2009 Macbook Pro).

Thanks

Asking as well, does anyone have Yosemite?

I thought I had it in my download history but only have Mavericks and El Capitan.
