Wow, very nice. Does the hinge color also apply to the sides? If so that means I can have an all black Fold right?
I think so looking at these Sammy press release pics if you look closely at the edges :)

I think the Black is always black but the other colours you seem to have at least 2 choices of hinge colour

No way for me. Too expensive for a 1st gen device that's going to have a lot of problems. In two years they'll have worked out the kinks and competition will have normalized the prices slightly. I'll revisit then, but still I just don't see that much of a need for a foldable phone. I guess if I didn't have a iPad maybe, but it's just not something that interests me too much.

I can't buy a phone that's in my mind still a Concept......and for that price it should have a S-pen attached to it and be as powerful as the current ipad pro....so its a no go.........

I thought about reserving one, but it's genuinely just a prototype. The hinge is always present when unfolded, the outside screen is way too small, the notch when open is awkward, and the price is just too damn high.

I was trying to find a possible release date for Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand as I hope these versions will be dual sim

Given that it's a top spec phone in its own right and easily replaces any tablet use I have. Other than screen being 1st gen, I do not see anything remotely prototype

The S10+ is crica $1250 and the Iphone XS max is circa $1450 for the 512GB versions, add a modest tablet to this and your easily in the $1900 range

Factor in other aspects like selling off and bundled goodies and no need to purchase fast charge etc the price starts to make sense for many given its a flagship leading edge device

The crease is worse than the Mate X which you barely can spot from any angle. The fold on the other hand is clearly visible. And I don't like the notch and bigger bezels from Samsung.

Wanted too, just can't pull the trigger. Seems like a prototype and they are likely going to redesign going forward. As much as I like new tech, this just seems like would be a waste to own.
I'm in the same boat so to speak. I really really want one of these....make no mistake. But I just can't seem to go through with it.

As you say this seems to be a prototype...next revision might be the one to get though :)

Yikes, is the left side of the display sitting slightly higher than the right? There's a lot of step glare going on here

Dat notch tho
Couldn't even squeeze it away. Looking forward to their 2nd Gen with the foldout display like the Mate X.

Will go give this a go though when it arrives, good to see one of these Foldables finally going into the market

Today’s hands-on videos have made me want one. Dieter Bohn’s comments, especially, about how he was surprised that’s its more of a finished product than he was anticipating have influenced my thinking. I think I’m going to order one.

Well I want one but I just got my S10+ and am still enjoying getting to know it better. I will be getting other phones later in the year with trade in discounts that might help me keep price per phone under $1000. I am tentatively planning to upgrade to a Pixel 4 and possibly the updated version of whatever iPhone my migraine condition allows me to use.

But this? Yikes.

Nice to see the hands-on videos....I can see this dropping by $1000 around the beginning of 2020.......too bad no s-pen which is the main reason I cannot purchase this product. I'm thinking the s-pen will be a part of next year's model so that would be nice. And for the price, Samsung should guarantee full OS updates for 4 years; not just security updates.
