If they just kept quiet, maybe.

But they were so loud about “refusing to remove headphone jack, because they think others are wrong”.
It's not like they made a big thing about it and dropped it on the next model like Google did.

Yeah, it's a shame if it really has gone. But people are going to complain regardless, so either buy it or don't.

This is a huge: “we admit it, you were right” to Apple.

GG, Samsung.
Nothing about this is right for the consumer until all these clowns have the same port on the bottom of their phones so there’s one standard connection for all wired headphones.

Right now my life is a mess of headphones terminating in different kinds of ends and dongles. I can’t just blindly grab a pair of earbuds out of the drawer and know they are going to work. Now I have to make sure if it’s my Pixel I’ve got the dongle or the one pair of usb c buds I own. If it’s my Samsung and I accidentally grab one of the lightning earbuds I’m going to be out of luck.

Bluetooth headphones weren’t free of latency and had other performances quality issues when Apple tried to shove everyone over to them.

Standards exist for a reason. Apple chucked a perfectly good standard prematurely as far as I’m concerned. Not right at all.

Samsung at least is doing it on the cusp of USB-C taking over even in Apple land and as Bluetooth problems are being solved.

I agree on DxO...they are a good measuring stick but I don't always agree on their stuff.
Personally I think the Pixel 3 XL consistently takes better shots than the Xs Max and P30, S10 and Note 9
Yes and the DxO on the S10's has not been revisited with the latest camera update so maybe nudges up a bit :)

Great news for those of us who live in areas that get Exynos, the current 9820 is a mess compared to the Snapdragon 855.

Note 10 coming with a new 7nm Exynos, Samsung making Snapdragon 865 on the same node
Note 10 coming with a new processor

Speaking of the Galaxy Note 10, the other interesting tidbit in the report is reiterating that Samsung has already started production of a new Exynos chipset that will go into the upcoming Note(s), and the reason we say new is that it is apparently made with the 7nm EUV method, making it the second such chip we've heard about, after Qualcomm's current X50 5G modem.

The Exynos 9820 that is in the Galaxy S10 trio is made with an 8nm production process, but the Note 10 may be the first phone to launch with an EUV processor and we can't wait to put it to the testing. The Snapdragon 855 edition will probably still be with the first-gen 7nm process, so a fun comparison between the two awaits us come Note 10 release time in August.

Hooorayyyy ...99.99% buying Note 10. Was good idea skipping s10. It will be my very first Note.

[doublepost=1560679218][/doublepost]Looks really really gorgeous.

I don’t think there is anything right about removing a feature and not replacing it with anything else. I didn’t gain anything from Apple removing the headphone jack.
i agree that there was nothing right about removing the headphone port

Can’t believe they’ve seemingly curved the screen even further. What actual purpose does it serve? Not even close to as bad as some of the pics I’ve seen of what some think the S11 could look like.

Not sure honestly. I was really hoping that the smaller note would have been flat screened (like the S10e). that would have been an instant buy for me.

The curved edges don’t feel as good in the hand as a flat display. However they are more aesthetically pleasing and look everyone is doing it now. I think it’s only Apple and google that haven’t followed suit.

Ugh, I really hope the small one isnt curved, my S10e has been awesome. If it's not flat, I my just end up waiting for the Pixel 4. I just don't get why not offering a flat display option like they did with the S10e.
