I know the XS Max does about 1h50mins with the 30W Fast Charger, while the S10+ does about 1h40, so that’s why I am surprised you are seeing a significant variance between them.

At least going by these tests

I am thinking of getting the 30W charger, but we’ll see
I am now addicted to this damn thing.

Anyway let’s see what Note10 brings, May have another upgrade between this year and next year, I really miss having an SPen.
You should get an Apple Watch and get locked in lol

Has there been any news on whether an updated in display FPS will be included? That was my biggest annoyance of the S10+.

The end of the headphone jack?

No new cameras on the note 10 either very disappointing. Means same as s10 which can't match Huawei. Not good enough in low light and nowhere near in zoom.

Also no headphone jack and other things too.

Was really wanting this. Will wait for s11 or p40 pro now.

Ice universe has confirmed that note 10 will be using same 1/2.55" sensor.

Hope note 11 is much better in the camera department.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung figured they can chill a bit with Huawei being beaten to a pulp and having to deal with what has to be THEE biggest PR disaster any company could go through.
The pressure is now off, Samsung can really blow people away in 2020 and just finish off 2019 with a good device but not mind blowing device in the Note10.

The Galaxy S11 will represent Samsung’s foray into the next decade, although the first Galaxy launched in 2009, the first Galaxy S was in 2010, so it makes sense for the 2020 Galaxy S to be a huge deal, more than the 2019 line of devices.

The loss of Huawei is going to leave a huge gap in the market for Apple and Samsung to grab without really having to try all that hard at the end of this year, there is really just two options, Samsung or Apple, I am talking globally, Pixel and OnePlus don’t get bought at Samsung/Huawei/Apple numbers globally.

Despite the drop in smartphone sales generally, I think Samsung and Apple will show growth in what were Huawei strongholds, outside of China of course.

Guess that signals the official death of the Headphone jack, Samsung are probably the only OEM that we’re pushing on their biggest selling High End smartphones.
I’m not too sure how I feel about the headphone jack. 99% of the time I don’t care and just use my AirPods or AKG Bluetooth headphones. However there are times at night when I’m in bed when I want to charge my phone and don’t like wearing my AirPods in case I fall asleep and they fall out. I want to be able to use a pair of wired headphones and charge at the same time and I can’t.

Same here.

I have been using the AKG ones from my old Galaxy Note8 when watching series in bed on my iPad. I still find it important, but yeah, this is the world we’re in now, no more headphone jack.

Maybe some weird ass designs with the screen wrapping around and continuing on the back or something...not sure I wanna know

My husband has stolen my last pair of wired AKG buds. He’s always loosing or breaking his headphones and then asking me for a pair:rolleyes:

The only good thing about the lightning earbuds is that they don’t work with his note 8 and I won’t let him touch my AirPods or Bluetooth AKG headphones.

It’s a shame about the headphone jack because although most of the time you don’t need it there are times when it’s just convenient.

I’m sure Samsung will give the galaxy buds away again as free gifts if they get rid of the headphone jack.

LOL! Some heavy compromises on the way! Can you imagine a phone with 100%!? Palm rejection tech will have to be incredible, our dream of a flat screen is slowly fading

Have to say I am loving the flatness of the screen on my iPhone XS Max, I hope Apple keep their next devices like this, even though it does mean they are wider, but I don’t mind the width.

Hahaha! your husband taking full advantage there.

I have only used the my Lightning Earbuds once they are decent but I am so used to to the AKGs.

Maybe I'm being thick but how do you surpass 100% screen to body ratio?!

I think I just did a triple take when reading this comment...

You’re using an iPhone?! I must’ve been pulled into some mirror universe while I slept. :p (You on an iPhone and me heavily using a Pixel 3XL :D).

In all seriousness—tongue firmly planted in cheek for my first comments—what lead to you giving a XS Max a go?

What bothers you about it in your experience?
Far too unreliable. And while I know the FPS on the P30 Pro uses different tech, it’s almost flawless in the success rate. So I’d find it more than a little annoying going back to one like the S10+.

Yeah this is dead in the water for me. My S10+ is good and got it for a great price trading in my S9+. Just not interested going further.

I’m actually more interested in the Asus ZenFone 6. It’s just very interesting to me. I don’t know that I’m interested enough to get one. But my window shopping attention is now directed more in that direction. I’m more determined to trade up my XR. That’s the only purchase I have solid plans for.

Baffled. Samsung doesn't innovate like they used to. I thought they would be trying to match Huawei in the camera department. Especially on low light and zoom.

I think they are a bit blind sighted when it comes to the high end market. I think they realise that at the low end and mid range they are competing with other android OEMs but at the high end they think it’s only Apple so that’s who they are designing their phones to compete with. Also I think this is the first time they have had a very strong android competitor. Yes back in the day HTC and LG had more of a presence but their devices tended to be strong in one area and weaker in others whereas Samsung devices were stronger across all areas.

Well it seems Samsung are waking up! Possible 45W Fast Charging in the Note10!

Samsung Galaxy Note10 tipped to come with 45W fast charging
Last year's Samsung Galaxy Note9 shipped with a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. But the Galaxy Note10 likely to arrive in August this year is said to come with an even faster charging tech.

Earlier last month, we heard that Galaxy Note10 will have faster than 25W charging. But today's information hints at this flagship coming with 45W fast charging instead.

We at least hope he is going on about the Note10....

What happened to 100w charging in the Note 10? Last article I read talked about it not being safe for a phone and longevity of it’s battery, which is exactly what I thought.

I know this guy gets a lot of credit for being reliable but he also changes his mind a fair bit as well.
