What happened to 100w charging in the Note 10? Last article I read talked about it not being safe for a phone and longevity of it’s battery, which is exactly what I thought.

I know this guy gets a lot of credit for being reliable but he also changes his mind a fair bit as well.

Haha, I think he is abusing his influential power a bit, unless he is also getting bad information.

His post is very vague though, not even a hint of exactly what device he may be talking about, just a whole lot of assumption.

I hope there’s at least one really good feature we’re not expecting. And while the camera sensors are expected to be the same, hopefully something software wise will make a difference.

There just doesn't seem to be a lot to be excited about the Note 10. I am gravitating more towards the Pixel lineup these days.

I think if you’ve had one of the S10 models earlier in the year, there’s not a massive reason to upgrade this year. I’ll still be looking forward to seeing the full specs & design. And praying pre order gifts don’t pull me in. lol

Well if the Note10 carries the S10 5G Camera with a ToF sensor setup at the back then it will be amazing, but if it’s regular S10+ setup then yeah, won’t be so exciting.

I really do get the feeling Samsung are gearing up for something bigger for 2020.

I wish they would go back to making the Galaxy Note truly special, with crazy specs and new chips, not just recycling the Galaxy S Plus model stuff into the Note.

There was once a time the Galaxy Notes brought a mid life cycle chip refresh of sorts.

I've not looked into how much difference the tof sensor makes on the 5G compared to the S10+? In my experience, they seem a little over rated. The P30 Pro has one but portraits look better on the Pixel.

2019 was supposed to be the big year for Samsung with the biggest change of the S line. With every phone, we're always expecting 'next year' to be the big one.

The S10 5G seems to manage better going by DxO

I think 2019 was meant to be mainly focused on redesign which they did, both physically (hole punch) and in terms of UI with their new OneUI, I think next year they will focus more on Hardware like better Cameras (Zoom and Quality) and faster charging.

I agree on the redesign being a lot different. And if not in the Note 10, I'd certainly hope for a big improvement in the FPS next year.

I know DXO Mark is what so many judge how good a phone camera is but I prefer to judge on my own preferences. Can't even see a Pixel on that part of the list and yet that's what I've settled on for now because of the camera.

Designs need to be on point for everyone if the new iPhone leaks are to be believed. With their class leading square camera array on the back. #sarcasticmuch lol

Can it do portrait videos? The p30 Pro? The S10 5G is supposed to do portrait videos but I’ve not seen any samples yet.

Indeed, although I do believe DxO also look at how versatile a camera is and it’s a balance between Photo and Video, Pixel 3 did very well in the latter to.

I think Huawei used their time machine to travel to the future and steal that iPhone Square camera design for the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.

2020 will be interesting as 5G will truly begin seeing greater uptake there I think, and we should see 5nm chips come in.

I agree on DxO...they are a good measuring stick but I don't always agree on their stuff.
Personally I think the Pixel 3 XL consistently takes better shots than the Xs Max and P30, S10 and Note 9

I have already decided to skip the Note 10 and iPhone 11 this year. I'm not so patiently waiting for the Pixel 4 XL :)
Probably no Note 10 for me either. I like the new apple updates so much that I'll probably splurge on an iPad Pro and get my pen fix from that, and go all in on Apple this year. Unless they miraculously drop a Note 10 with flat screen...

I am on team jamezr and it feels very weird as i am an annual iPhone guy.

I want to thank the OP7 Pro for opening my eyes on how far Android has come, the world of amazing notifications and customization, and the Pixel for the best camera in a smartphone (or so i hear, mine arrives tomorrow i hope).

I feel fully engrained in #teampixel until Apple truly shows me something to jump back for.

I plan on skipping the iPhone upgrade this year too. I do still plan on getting a Note 10 as long as they have a flat version, if not then I'll get a pixel 4.

Looks like the Bixby button is gone. Glad there is no second camera. I rarely use the front facing camera on my Phones and it seems as though the second front facing camera on the the S10+ didn’t really improve the quality of the photos. The single hole punch looks better. Maybe the headphone jack is finally gone.
Ugh. Those flat ends really emphasise the curves and make it look cylindrical. Was hoping they'd build on the S10+ design but this actually looks kind of dated somehow.

Well, on second thought, I think I’ll get the Note 10. Hopefully, there’s a flat screen version. We’ll see...

Like I said on the 5G thread, I’m not ready to give up on the headphone jack. It’s not quite as painful on Apple anymore because I’ve got so very many lightning earbuds now.

S10+ and Apple will keep me busy the rest of the year. I’m not sure what to think about Pixel, yet. They always find a way to pull me in. But lacking a wide angle option may hurt them when I’ve already got a very capable Android phone that has this and is paid in full and doing well.

Like @Oohara I’m keeping an eye on iPads. I love my Mini 5 and am willing to trade my larger older iPad on a new larger model depending on what they do with them.
