Same here......Doesn't look like anyone can hold that Oppo phone without touching the sides of the displays. What a nightmare false touches would be!

That is the problem with some of these phones that want to be all display....there is no way to hold them without touching the display. It becomes form over functionality....

The OP7 is my first phone with a curved display and I haven't had this false touch issue that many speak of on curved displays....at all.

I will say I am not a fan of the curved displays vs the flat ones but my problem is the glare/reflection and never any false touches.

Maybe I am holding it wrong :)

The hole in the centre is distracting and ugly that's why. And based on the specs the screen will be around the same size.

The hole is subjective.......per individual preferences.
But that Oppo can't touch the Notes functionality....not even close.
I mean the Note line and the S-Pen.....nuff said.

The S-Pen is overrated. There are way more features that makes a phone interesting. First of all the design. I like the design language of the Note lineup more than others. Because of the rectangular corners. Also the high resolution screen and storage capacity makes it an interesting product.

isn't she....pretty in pink? :)
Definitely! I wonder if they will bring this color to the US. I imagine they will eventually. I like the other colors a lot, too. I've just had a lot of fun rocking Flamingo pink I'm at the beach for a few weeks and I definitely use the Samsung a lot on vacation.

My Xr is my work horse, but my S10+ is better on trips for all the cameras and the generous display makes it my portable entertainment center.

As far as holding a phone that has curved sides and so much screen, I find a good case really helps. The clear TPU case I have on my S10+ is very grippy and that helps a lot. At least in the summer. Lol, in winter I can't grip these phones without a pop socket.

Ok now I scrolled past the uh, discussions...obviously without a scientifically conducted survey it's hard to say for sure, but usually when we have talked about past Notes, a good number of us talk about using the S-Pen. So it doesn't seem to be a negligible feature that can be dismissed out of hand, at least in my opinion, which is certainly up for discussion.

It is definitely a feature I have missed. Once you get to phones this big, well at least for me anyway, I start to look for perks like that to justify the extra burden of carrying a phablet that is truly worthy of being called a phablet. Otherwise I'd do what I have been doing since I had to turn my Note 7 back in, which is use the smaller less expensive S series.

:eek:And dayumm...Notes are not petite! :D Note Pro is a beast in any color. I started out apathetic and now I'm drooling. Especially since I'm resigned to staying XR-sized on an iPhone. Which oddly now seems like a small phone to me. (Small but heavy)

The Note seems to be a device that initially gets a lukewarm reaction from the tech community.at launch. I'm guessing it's mostly due to the Galaxy S line betting introduced first. But once the dust settles, and the tech journos have had time to put the phone to actual use, they end up describing the Note as the complete package with phone of the year recognition. Yes, I've been doing my research, and I really want this phone. Lol

I do miss the S Pen at times having sold my Note 9 and using a S10+

I do a lot of support work for my friend who's a builder and daily site photo's often need annotating where the S Pen is an excellent tool

However the Note seemed just a strange fit in my front pocket even though its only a few mm larger

The note lines do seem more fitting of a serious tech tool than the more rounded corners of others

Sorry GM I understand your desire for the pink note but its a nope for me :)

However it's the Fold that has my attention. My wife uses a Kindle that has a similar aspect ratio (when unfolded) which seems an ideal reading format and more real estate for annotation and viewing etc

I can deal with the increased thickness of the fold in my pocket over the increased width of the Note

Now what would GM do if the Fold was also available in pink LOL

I never had the purple Note 9, but that’s the color I would drool over. Last Note I had was the 5. I mostly used the pen for note taking.
I traded in my S8 for the S10 plus. Went with the Flamingo Pink for something different. I’ll probably trade this one in when the S12 or Note 12 comes out.

I had the purple S8+ and the purple S9+. Now I’m on the same phone as you.

I miss my S9+ sometimes. But man this wide angle lens is so handy! Zoom is great too. I also am pleased with the quality of stereo audio I get in my videos.

Still, I did enjoy the S Pen when I had it so I have long wanted to jump from the S series to the Note again. I just find the lack of headphone jack to be very off putting. I don’t want to deal with dongles. I don’t know if that’s a deal breaker for me at this point or not. There’s a lot to think about.

Wow looks good. I like all of the colors so even if my country gets shut out of one or two, I’ve still got attractive options. If the budget permits, I will probably go for this.

I am bummed out about the loss of the headphone jack. But the IP69 rating is a nice compensation and was probably finally made possible by the loss of the jack. I use my Samsung at the beach and around the pool a lot. I try to keep my phones dry but the extra water resistance is always welcome.

I hope this Note will be as nice as my S10+ has been so far.

I’m pretty sure I’ll go for the Plus sized Note. Once they’re that big, may as well get the biggest one, especially if I want to be writing on it.

Phone of this year easily goes to the OnePlus 7 Pro. But yeah I've noticed this too.

There is an IR blaster on the note 10.

Many people will be very dissapointed, i hardly use the jack it means nothing to me.
I dunno, I’ve embraced the wireless life with my AirPods. I’ve had AirPods for 2.5 years. However there are times when I want to charge my phone in bed at night and also plug in a pair of headphones. I don’t want to use my AirPods in bed because I’ll probably fall asleep wearing them and they could get lost in the bed.
