I’m sticking with my s10 5g. Personally, there’s nothing for me to warrant changing to the note series this time.

These phones look outstanding. And if not for the One Plus 7 Pro, if really consider buying one of these.

But I'm awfully spoiled by the all-screen design.

And that refresh rate feels shockingly... fresh.

That being said, love all the features Sammy packs into their phones.

Might still pick it up, though. Phone will probably be down to 700 in two months time.

Comparing tariff prices with EE and the 5G plan of 100GB data is still £89 a month so £1 off what i pay on my 256GB max and you can not use the 20% discount perk on 5G plans.

Even on the 4G note plus it’s at around £84 a month.

With perk on the 4G plan it would be about £67 a month

Would be a downgrade going from the OP7 to the Note 10 line this year imo. You did good. :)

When I enquired about using my perk code, they didn’t mention not being able to use on 5g plans

Spoke to somebody on twitter and they also said to somebody else student discounts won’t work with 5G plans either.

Oh, so s10e got pwn at freq liwer than 240, s10 as well, note will be probably same... god i hate these oleds:(
Do the displays on the S10e and S10 bother you? I had zero issues on the S8 and S9 displays. I did have to adjust a little to the S10+ display. I can’t at all even look at an iPhone OLED even for a few minutes anymore. I’ve become extremely sensitive to the Apple adaptation that is designed to reduce burn-in. I’m hoping I’ll be okay on the Note 10+ display. I’ll return it if I can’t use it.

I can’t really watch modern TV sets for very long. I get pretty dizzy after about 2 hours, so that’s why I’m kind of excited about the big beautiful display on the Note 10+. I watch movies and shows on my phones. I keep an old fashioned tube tv in my bedroom that I watch sometimes. But I prefer my phone’s display quality.

Exactly! I am also very spoiled with that screen of the 7 Pro.
Using this phone now for about a week.

I truly believe it would be an absolute downgrade, Note 10 vs 7 OnePlus 7 Pro.

They are awful colours.
I think Mr. Spock would agree with you but Zephram Cochrane seems to have a thing for the Sparkle!

I’m getting the Note 10+ Star Trek edition but definitely have some cases ready to tame it!

Have you tried using ipads? They have standard LCD displays.

Oh yeah I’ve got a new Mini and an older one, I forget which one but it’s compatible with an S Pen. I watch videos on those as well. The way I sit and watch though, I like using a phone better. It’s a bit lighter and the picture looks better to me. Especially on a Samsung.

Edit: I mean Apple Pencil not an S-Pen. Lol I think you figured out what I meant though.

I am not sure, i played with s10+ few minutes in store and I felt strange, like something wentwrong with my head and stomach, and felt that for like 1-2 hours agter playing with s10+... but maybe i was judt tired/lighning is store is agresive... btw, i can test nite on myself, but i do jave little baby and sometimes she poses my phone, not sure i want pwm flockering screen in case she plays with my phone...

Dont know about iphone oled, did not play more than just few seconds with it, faceid is no go for me...

Btw, have you evertriedoled tvs? They dont use pwm, they are actually flicker free (irony, isnt it?), while new led tvs (qled/led) do use pem (sometimes low freq one)

Oh btw, dors anyone kniw whether note10 in europe got exynos cpu as s10 or we are lucky and we get snapdragon? I guess it is exynos, but one can hope

Couldn't wait for the 9825/855 comparison, just put my pre-order in for two Note10+, Aura Glow and Auro White. Bought direct from Samsung. Getting two free buds, black and white. The wait begins. :)

The preorders aren't that compelling here, neither is the spec upgrade.
I'm going to wait for the Mate 30 pro and S11 to decide which $1500 phone I want.
My Note 9 is still 3/4 of what the Note 10 is.

Wow, the first time I've skipped preordering Note since the Note 3 lol.

Flagships these days are so good that you can keep a device for 2 years and not miss a beat. I picked up this used S7 Edge a few months back, just to try out a Samsung, and I've been very impressed at battery life, performance, and most of all, Knox Security via the Secure Folder. Since then, I've been looking forward to upgrading to Samsung's best. The Note10+ couldn't come at a better time for me. The plan is to keep the Note10+ until the Galaxy Fold 3, at which time we will have Radeon GPU in the flagships, and year of development pass with their new camera sensor that will be in the S11/Note11. Exciting times for me!!!

The Note 10 + is a beast and will do everything you could ask for in a flagship. I just don't get how it's a big upgrade over the S10 plus, that's why it's puzzling me those that are making that switch. And I definitely don't think the Note 10 is an upgrade on the S10 plus.

Phones are starting to hit that point where they going to just be minor spec bumps until the next big tech feature shows itself. Maybe it'll be refresh rate but I can't see that being a big attraction to the general public. I honestly don't know what the next thing will be. Maybe still folding phones once they get the form factor figured out.

For me it's just a slide to the side to get the S Pen back into my life. Oh and get a crack at the zoom audio. There's a few other little benefits I see to the switch but nothing earth shattering.

The S11 rumors are looking promising for everyone who intends to hold out for that one, like my husband. The new camera sensor should be coming out in that. I know I will be super tempted myself when that one comes out.

I'd be excited for the Pixel 4 but jeez the batteries they're putting in...such a disappointment. I wouldn't replace my Samsung with one. I run my 3XL on WiFi. On standby the battery life is fine. But when I go to use it, it drains too fast for comfort. Thank goodness it charges fast.

It makes sense of you're someone that really needs or uses the S-pen. Otherwise, it just seems like a lateral move and Samsung gets you to trade in a 6 month old device plus gets $400 more from you. But hey, to each their own.

For anyone that has a device prior to the S10 plus however, it's a great upgrade. I've said it before, Samsung's hardware in unmatched. Apple are the only ones that come close.
