Even if we both end up getting the Pixel 4 in Oct...we still come out on top. The P3 prices are going to drop as we get closer to P4 release date. I can sell the Note 10+ if I don't like it and it will pay for the P4 if I go that route.
It really is a win win scenario :)

same logic here i have a regular pixel 3 , can't pass up getting $600 for it and the free samsung credit which i took a galaxy active watch , ill sell for $125 locally to lower my overall cost

Woot! Just put in my pre-order, I'm getting the smaller Note 10 in black, got it along with a pair galaxy buds and the rugged case for less than $400 after trading in my Pixel 3 (which I got cheap during the Thanksgiving sale last year).

Been using my Note 9 again in anticipation, and its incredible to think the screen size will be almost the same but in a much smaller form factor. Looks like it's about the same size as the Note 7, my favorite Note. Can't wait!

What website is this from? I've come across it before, but can't seem to find it now.

I'm surprised by the lack of pre order incentives in the UK for this. So far, I've seen absolutely nothing. An extra £100 trade in on an already crap price at one place doesn't count!
So far the only good news I’ve seen for the UK is one of the magazine reviewers said they think pink is going to the UK. Woopteedoo.

I would probably have gotten pink had it been available but even I’m not crying in my coffee about having access to only silver, white and black for AT&T via Samsung direct.

I think Samsung slights the UK at their own peril. Huawei and OnePlus will be finding the money Samsung left on the table.

I think we have our wires slightly crossed :)

The point I was trying make is if you dislike Samsung direct service because you bought from them then choose a local retailer where you can walk in and get service etc :)

I know deals can be slightly different EG : S10+ at Samsung is $500 plus $150 voucher to spend where Bestbuy is a straight $400 both assuming a $600 trade in, so depends if you think its worth the vouchers over the saving and convenience etc. Not that I am suggesting or recommending Bestbuy :D

For many in the world there are no local Apple stores so experiences often found in US/UK/AUS do not translate unfortunately.

Dealing direct with OEMs is a rarity for most and choosing a local store equally can have advantages

Now I understand what you are saying. Yes, going to Best Buy will yield far better support in terms of having face to face interactions vs phone only support. In fact, I do shop there somewhat regularly since they do a good job of price matching on most electronics. I do try to get my electronics like phones from places that do have physical support in my town when possible.

However, when I do purchase Samsung devices, I tend to go to samsung.com since they have better deals (trade-in promos, pre-order freebies, employer discount), no restocking fees for returns among other things. I do wish we had a Samsung store nearby, that'd be helpful for sure!

I did drop into Best Buy today to see if they had the Note 10 on display yet and they said their samsung rep was coming in later today to set them up. So I'll have to swing back by to get a look!

I wonder if the Note line will be around in the near future. It seems to be such a niche device now a days when its size is what it set it apart back in the day.

And dont say the S pen as even the hardcore Note fans will say a huge % of Note owners use it never to rarely.

Also funny to see Samsung deleting their old videos mocking Apple about no headphone jack lol. Oh Sammy.

I can't believe they are offer 600 for a Pixel 3 XL, if I thought the camera was a leap beyond the Pixel I would probably do it because I only paid 350 for this 128 on OfferUp. I had won a 64 gig on eBay and after taxes I paid 395 but saw a new in box 128 gig on offer up for 350 the next day, I sent an offer for 350 and they took it! I sold the 64 gig to a friend for what I paid. I would imagine when the Pixel 4 comes out you could probably sell the Note 10 for at least 7-800

Based on early reactions it lines up with their desperation to sell the device. Early impressions are pretty mediocre and nothing that great about the device in today's crowded market. Plus its 1k for it???

Ask MKBHD has said....good phones aren't getting cheap but cheap phones are getting very good.

Or something like that :)

It is madness lol

I was actually more than happy with my 2 XL but lost it in the lake. It had an amazing camera and did everything I needed well

Agree completely and lacking the amazing screen technology you get on a OP7 now i don't see anything at all that is enticing in the Android segment. Also not a fan of that ugly dot right in the middle of the display.

Hard pass and now we wait for the Pixel 4.

Yeah so far the only phone that entices me at all is the Pixel 4 but even that is underwhelming so far. Im gonna wait until Black Friday and see what sales popup.

Okay note 10 pre order placed.

Here is what you do if you want one cheaper.

I was tempted to send my s10+ in, but someone pointed out that the pixel 3 also qualified for $600 back.

Just purchased one on swappa for $323.

Note 10 $1100

+$323 = $1423

-$600 = $823

Will get at least $600 for s10+ = $223

-$200 in free accessories I would have bought anyway.

Grand total of $23 out of pocket

Question...why would you trade in an S10 plus for a Note 10 AND pay money?

I would argue the S10 plus is a better phone. Maybe the form factor isn't as good but it has a better screen and microsd card. To each their own, but curious as to why you think this is a good deal?

I'd love to know why Samsung downgraded to selfie camera on the Note 10.

It's gone from a F1.9 10mp one on the S10 to a F2.2 10mp one on the Note 10?

I think he meant Note 10 Plus. That one is $1100. The smaller Note is a few steps forward and a few steps back in the gain and loss ledger.

Trading in the note 9 for 600 off and got a note 10 regular size with the 1080 screen. I will debate keeping it but for now I'm planning on selling on swappa.

I got the s10 and honestly not really complaining.

paid 347 out of pocket and hopefully it should sell for at least 850 US NIB.

Price will drop fast guys so remember if you're having any doubts about the phone sell sooner since price drop with samsung is BIG.

I am curious about the in screen finger print sensor though. I like the s10e but I thought I'd be happier with the FPS on the power button but sometimes it's it or miss.

Oh, so s10e got pwn at freq liwer than 240, s10 as well, note will be probably same... god i hate these oleds:(
