Haha welcome to the fall right? I've definitely decided that I'm done with iPhones for a while. I've just really grown tired of iOS and how quirky some things have gotten. Where the Note makes a bit more sense for my needs is that they have a pretty good ecosystem with the watch, the buds, and unbelievable trade in deals. It's kind of built more towards keeping someone long term.

I love Pixels though, just wish they were in a more mature phase with their entire ecosystem and I really don't want to try to use their WearOS or whatever it's called.
The Note 10 is just so feature packed. Then with the trade in offerings........It is just hard to not keep it.
The Pixel line up has always provided a great overall user experience. Then that camera! But Google has fallen behind in hardware and quality assurance. It took 3 Pixel XLs before I got one free of major defects.
I am huge iPhone fan. Love the user experience. What the iPhone does...it does really well. I just get bored with IOS's limitations.

I'm in the same boat but it will be the Galaxy Watch Active 2 (GWA2) that will decide which phone I eventually end up with..

If GWA2 is pants then I will go back to Apple Watch 5 and iPhone 11 set up..

Pixel 4 is just a wild card.. it all depends on what Google release.. hehe! I may even have to give up the smartwatch this year if the Pixel 4 is that good..
I am waiting to see what the new camera the iPhone 11 will have Apple has to step it up in that department or really fall behind the competition.
The Pixel 4 will have a dual camera setup for the first time. That could be a total game changer...look what they have done with ONE camera!

Played with a Note today, definitely sets the bar high for hardware quality and engineering. So far it's at the top of my list for when I upgrade in November but I have a feeling it'll get bumped by the Pixel 4 once I play with the 90 hz refresh. Just have a feeling that's a feature that you can't go back from once you try it.

Ok got a real question:

How loud are the headphones? Preferably against the pixel line. Either through the included USBC phones, through an adapter or even say Galaxy or Google buds?

Headphone volume too low on my pixels.

I don’t have the device yet but Samsung phones have always had really good sound (and louder) compared to the Pixels.

I fell asleep. :( But at least that meant my husband is here with me to set it up. I’m restoring/copying over via WiFi my S10+ setup. Tomorrow I get to actually play with it. Even then I have a lot of other things I have to get done. But I’ll sneak some time in.

If I thought I’d be sad to give up the flamingo pink...well a little bit but this Note is aesthetically and ergonomically more what I want. The additional size over the S10+ is negligible in terms of carrying it. But the added screen real estate and more rectangular look appeal to me.

Edit to add that it is so disorienting to view this forum in dark/night mode

Just officially said no to the 2019 IPhone 11. Samsung gave me a 50% off Coupon and $150 credit and Free Galaxy Buds as part of their Insights program. A new Note 10 Plus cost me $550 couldn’t pass that up and all the extra side goodies.

FYI if you are ever Invited to the Samsung Insights program (some of you know what that is) You must fill out the survey on an iPad or an iPhone. Because they can detect the device and browser. And they want to lure you and incentives you to switch to a Samsung device.

No experience from me yet, but if using an adaptor the adaptor itself can either reduce or increase the max volume. For example, the Apple USB C to 3.5mm cable is meant to be great, however, on Android the maximum volume is apparently lower than on iOS.

I've read the Razer phone and Essential phone dongles are meant to be best as have better quality DACs inside. I personally have gone for one off Amazon.

How come all 4k and 360 vr videos are limited to 1080 on youtube when i can watch them at 2160 p on my s9+ ?

Because the 10+ comes set to 1080p out of the box. If you set the phone to 1440p, you'll then get the option in youtube.

Thanks csusfr that makes sense
It threw me for a loop when I saw the note in store the first time. So I tried lowered the res on my S10+ and the options were gone.

However, even now on my Note 10+, I don't get a 2160p option. I guess that's because if you had anything higher than 1440 would just get downscaled anyway.

Here I am still with a delivery date of September 10th! It just occurred to me that there might be one or two people here that will have already gotten sick of and returned their phones by the time I get mine.

Alright, what does Samsung have against faces? I'd taken a photo in really poor light of my beautiful daughter. She is young and her face is flawless in the way young faces are. There is no need for the software to soft focus her face and make everything else crisp and clear. The photo was an amazing example of low light capabilities except for the weird beauty blur.

One thing I'm used to with iPhones is that when I get a new iPhone I can backup from a restore and essentially clone the phone I've been using. I thought I'd done that between my S10+ and Note 10+ but instead I am having to go through and re customize settings when I least expect it.

Anyway I need to figure out again how to turn this stupid face blurring off if possible. It does not make faces look prettier. It makes us look weird.

Carp! The beauty mode IS turned off. Okay well I will have to give the camera the benefit of a doubt because I did have to take the photo quickly. Maybe I didn't focus properly. I will have to do some experimenting. ...Here kitty kitty kitty....

You'd think by now Samsung would catch on not everyone is a teenager who applies a million filters to photos. Normal people like the detail, blemishes and all!

For anyone who still looking to get one, the $600 trade in offer has been extended to carrier models on the Samsung website.

Just upgraded to the Note 10+ from the s10 5g due to my lease plan being discontinued. Nice phone, the improved haptics are nice and the smaller front camera cut out really makes a big difference to the immersion.

Comparing youtube videos N10+ v s9+ side by side , s9+ videos look more realistic for some reason
[doublepost=1566911257][/doublepost]I remember s9+ had some discoloration issue when first released but it was fixed with updates.

Nothing to do with video enhancer settings?

I got mine last week - it's still in the box. No time to open.
