Ah cross posted. I am slow to put my posts up because I have to correct so many typos.

LOL you using gboard or Sammy? When I had the S 10 I actually used the Sammy keyboard but didn’t use the swipe feature and I found that the predictions were twice as good as iPhone and then I could swipe anywhere on the keyboard to move the cursor.

The 2nd one where the dogs face is closer is taken by the pixel. The first one the dogs fur on its face looks smoothed out or painted on.

Funny enough that I actually showed these photos to a couple of none tech friends and they couldn't decide which photo was better. So it could be that the problem is overblown and the masses don't really care about the beauty mode. I can clearly see the difference though and prefer the more natural pixel picture.
If I read this correct both were taken on the Note but the 2nd one was using the Pixel camera app :)

I can see why your friends could not decide, if you look without zooming in the Samsung App one looks pleasant with a nice sheen, it's not till you zoom in can you see the 2nd exposure whilst darker picked up more detail in the harder areas, yet both still caught the fur edges on the ears well

I think as we do not really have aperture control (other than Samsung does have a choice of 2) we are reliant on exposure saturation on the sensor and those algorithms etc to make the best interpretation in various modes

I think most just want it to look in focus and bright and let the memories fill in the details :) compared to our yesteryear pocket cameras that used so much flash etc

Despite mixed reviews, personally I am getting great battery life on the Note 10+ so far, seems better than the S10+ to me. The display is something else also, best I've seen though the new iPhone usually matches or tops it, either way its a big step up to me.

I took a picture of my fireplace, and there was pretty much no difference when looking at one in real life and on the screen. Very accurate colors which for me has not usually been the case on Samsung phones. Pretty happy so far, but two options coming up to compete.

It’s gotta be Video Enhancer I returned my iPhone XSMAX because it does not have Video Enhancer, like the Note 9 or S8+ or Note 10 Plus, co-workers all with iPhones always ask why my YouTube looks waaay better.
[doublepost=1566944859][/doublepost]Question for anyone who see this.

Is the Note 10 Plus 6.8” (non 5G) a 2 year phone ?

Yes, it should last you 3 years quite easily (probably will need a battery swap after 2 years depending on usage).

I'm using Sammy. It's a matter of getting used to the slightly wider real estate available here, especially since I switch between the Note and Xr all day, lol and sometimes the 3XL as well.

In regards to the battery life comments, I am not sure yet how it's going. Both my Note and my S10+ are draining faster than I remember my S10+ draining a few months ago. I'm slowly reviewing my apps and settings to try and get a lock down on needy apps. I do have some AT&T bloat to sort through. Some are services we do actually use. However I am easily getting what many reviewers report, if not a bit better.

My iPhone XR is the saddo. I hate how it will stay at near 100% in the morning. Then hit 80% and dramatically fall off a cliff thereafter.

Ooh good luck with the delivery and do have a wonderful trip!

My husband's phone is supposed to be delivered today. Unfortunately today I have to leave for an earlier school pickup. Tomorrow would have been better as the kids have a club meeting tomorrow and I do a much later pickup then. Oh well it is what it is.

It's fun anticipating a new phone but I will be glad to not have to factor in deliveries like this with everything else I'm trying to schedule and coordinate.

My case and headphone dongles delivered yesterday, and phone was just delivered now.

Exciting times. Comparing the case to my Note 8 case, it is a little wider, but going to do more when I have it in hand.

Ok iPhone XR and trying to view the second video through this forum and YouTube won’t let me unless I accept it to use cookies and website data to track my activity. WTH? I don’t remember that happening before.

I can see the first video just fine.

Can’t you watch it in the YouTube app?

I probably can, I just can’t even click on it to get to press and bring up the link on YouTube. It’s just also weird that I haven’t run into this but one other time on this forum. Now this is on my iPhone. It plays fine on my Note 10, but the Note 10 may be letting it track me to its hearts content.

Entire video shot, edited and published on note 10+.

Thanks for posting this. I'll take a look more fully when I have time.

I took my first note today. I wrote down what my parents wanted me to buy them on my next errand run.

The phone connection was incredibly clear and strong on AT&T. I get a very nice connection these days on my iPhone XR, too. But the Note 10 surpasses it and my s10+ so far. And on that call, at least, the proximity sensor did its job and my ear didn't go surfing the internet! I can only hope it keeps up the good work.

I got very nice photos of my cat in wonky dim indoor lighting. I am going to test the video now. I am going to put the rugged case on for that. The folio case does make picture taking a bit awkward at times.

Update: making a full HD video walking around my house went great. Digital audio zoom worked well. It will be interesting to see if there's a lot of video noise at night when everything is darker. Image stabilization was excellent. I am very pleased so far.

If I am able to pair this phone up with a small iphone Pro or iPhone 11, I'll have my dream team. Pixel 4 will probably be shut out. We shall see. I want to set it all in stone but I know it doesn't always work out that way.

In depth video of the 3D scanner

I had version 1 first of all and was really bad and version 1.0.20 now which is a little better but there is definatly some learning curve to get ish results so far :)

BTW do not use app via camera bixby button as you will have to sign up to all the bixby crud, just use the app button IMO

Maybe in about a dozen or so updates it will be better but definitely work in progress

lol I feel like I’m signing away my soul to Satan trying to get anywhere with Bixby. I have kind of a halfazzed setup on it. Really their terms seem alarmingly nosy and vague as to all the third parties who will end up with whatever. Google can be unsettling too. Of course I’ve been in Google’s system for years even before I had an Android phone at all. Samsung’s marketing initiative seems much more aggressive.

The OEM Samsung rugged case certainly isnt the most aesthetically pleasing, but wow it feels great in the hands, and all the ridges make it a pleasure to hold.

Love the kickstand as well.

My tech21 Evo wallet is in the mail, but I think this will be my daily driver.

That's the case I'm using, two kickstand even!
I used the Note 9 version too.
Good solid case.

I had Bixby set up and relegated to the background in a few minutes .
I use it to find specific photos and videos in my gallery, very handy.
The TOC's are kinda full on but the implementation is very deep, so it makes sense.

But... That's like one of the most manga cyberpunk cases I've ever seen. If Deckard would have used a N10+ that's the case they would have issued him. Almost makes me impulse order the phone right there. Omg. Literally aroused over here.

Happily playing with my new Aura Blue 10+ when I can find a few spare moments. Here are several initial observations:

I’d forgotten how much I like the fact I can decide default apps for activities like browsing, maps, payments, etc.

It is a huge phone but feels strangely comfortable in the hand. I love the thinness and the light-weightedness.

The screen....

Fingerprint ID works perfectly.

Haptic motor vastly improved.

I haven’t had a bit of trouble with the power button placement thus far.

My only regret is I didn’t get to have the Aura Glow as it was out of stock when I pre-ordered. My husband got it and I am jealous. But the blue is gorgeous too in a more understated way.

So glad I ordered. It won’t be going back.

Plus coming from XR and Note 8 before that, I love One UI and the Buds. They fit my ears perfectly, much more comfortable for me than my Jabra Elite Active or AirPods. And they were FREE. I ordered yellow so they will be hard to lose!
