I just received my new note 10 plus from Best Buy. I was wondering if somebody can help me figure out how to attach an image from my Google photos into a text message. All of my photos are in Google photos and I would like to access them from the texting app.

In the messaging app, click on the 4 squares, click on images and then you can choose where your images will pull from.just click Google photos and then you can choose to always pull from there or just once.

Oh poo. I knew I should not have done it. I compared my Note 10+ display to my husband's. His is nicer. The white is less blue and more a pure paper white. And more crisp looking. We checked and have the same settings. Even when I adjusted everything I could to try and match, I couldn't quite get my display to look as nice. I also have off axis blue shift and he doesn't. However, mine isn't horrible. It's a great display. His is just a bit better. And he didn't even want a Note! And he's rather smug about it! Whine! :p

Last time I got the nicer display on the S10+.

Oh wait... now they look identical. What sorcery is this?

Moral of the story don't hold two phones next to each other if you want to stay sane.

Edit to update. I think I figured out the sorcery. When I first compared the screens it was under my kitchen recessed lights, which happen to be LED bulbs. Somehow that seems to have made a difference. In a dark room the displays look the same. Weird. Oh well whatever.

After a full day with the phone I have a few things that seem to be a downgrade over the Note 8.

Couple things to note:
- The speakers are loud, but the entire phone vibrates (sort of like an iPad Pro) probably due to the thinness and placement of the top speaker.
- Adapt sound crashed the phone when I tried to add a custom profile (haven't tried again).
- USB C dongles and headphones all have a slight wobble, which a 3.5mm doesn't have.

Android Auto, few issues.
- Phone will automatically kick itself back into "light" mode (from dark mode).
- Smart lock won't work. (i had set it to keep it unlocked, but when plugged in it tells me I can add my car to the safe device list... again).
- Android auto has reverted back to the old interface.

Hopefully these AA items will be fixed eventually.

That's all the things so far.

Otherwise I really love the fast charging, I went up 76% in 38 minutes this morning. Love it!

Any reason not to chose the 512gb 5g model but run it on 4g plan over the 256gb standard note 10 plus? Both work out same price for me.

Also how much of an upgrade is it from the s10plus as that’s what I’ve got atm in 512gb. Spen ofc is useful. Is the speakers better or worse? Front camera only being one worse? Rear camera I guess it’s the same?

No if you can lock it to 4g one would assume if you keep it 2 years the 5g would come more in to its own, however you do loose the 2nd sim/SD slot

There are a few other things over the S10+ than you note and are well documented now

Front cam's is only really for selfie addicts on the S10+, rear cams are improved and TOF and scanner, FPS is better, more Ram, 7nm chip, design/real estate etc

Flossy's real review is out. 1hr 15 min gotta love this dude :D

One thing I like about this reveiwer, he just gives his opinion straight up, which is, "the Galaxy Note10+ is the best phone on the market...period."
No snarky comments for cheap laughs and likes. Gives real world examples of the features on the phone. In the end, there's none of that "cookie cutter, on the fence" conclusion other reveiwers give you.

He also makes sure he's reviewing a phone he bought like the rest of us peasants.

And even if he thinks something is worth getting he will still be very direct about what he does not like. He's actually a pretty skilled communicator, even if his colloquialisms aren't to everyone's tastes.

And I love a guy who is not afraid to show the world he adores his cat.

Which reminds me, Google photos brought me back a blast from the past of my cat posing with my Note 7.

I had the s10 5g, great phone but I found the 4g speeds to be severely lacking compared to my regular s10+ and my note 10+. Personally I would stay away from phones with 5g modems for at least another year.

Even though we had no trade in deals or free gifts this year the pricing is still better than the iPhone in the UK. The base note 10+ is still £100 cheaper than the Xs max and you get 256GB storage vs only 64GB with the Xs max.
Is the Note 10 significantly lower in features than the Note 10+?

Almost a weeks ownership and absolutely still loving everything about the Note 10.
I am shocking myself with how much I like it.

I don't miss my Pixel and I certainly don't miss my iPhone. The only thing I miss that for is how well it connects to my car.

Still just loving the better haptics. Who knew that would be such a big thing for me on a phone.
I will miss Apple Music if I get the note

Apple Music is terrible on android with soo many bugs. Looks like ill have to move to Spotify.

I’ve learned that Spotify is still way above AM when it comes to music discovery and recommendations. AM’s algorithms have always been way off. But AM is obviously better at library management.

I can't watch his videos anymore. "Alright y'all, so we back in"

If you can spell it, you can understand it.

Can you point to me to someone else who does a thorough job reviewing the phone?

After getting my Note 10 + almost a week early from Samsung direct Insights Program.

#1. OMG this Thing has some Serious Signal Range and good Reception. (That’s a Key Phone quality) I get LTE and VoLTE signal in places my Note 9 didn’t (Note 9 no VoLTE)
#2. Coming from a Note 9, how is the Note 10 Plus somehow (thinner and Lighter)
#3. Gaming wow I’m back mobile Gaming
#4. Display Brightness and Colors, Never Ever have I kept ANY phone on Default 50% Brightness anything higher is retina melting. I was Gifted an iPhone XsMAX and gave it back to Sprint for a Note 9 because the XsMAX has such a dull display the Colors on the Note 10 Plus are insane.
#5. UFS 3.0 Apps and Data just open and are installed instantly.
#6. 4K 60FPS HDR Video recording nuff said.
#7. My favorite tablet ever was the Google Nexus 7” tablet the Note 10+ is 6.8” inches it’s basically a Mini Tablet with a Stylus Built in I call it a Mini IPad Pro.

Gripes

#1. No way to Change Picture Resolution they keep hiding these settings
#2. Can’t get use to having No earpiece grill I feel like I’m talking to a screen
#3. Needs a 90Hz Display for smooth motion (probably the last 60Hz Display Note)
#4. Battery drain, it’s doing so many things in the background I have no idea. Plus Samsung and Google Accounts Syncing Data all the time can’t be helping.
#5. We need that Power button on the right side

When Samsung.com says 2 Day FedEx Air shipping they mean it. Thanks to the Insights Program, $550 for this Phone is crazy.
